Help with sarin report??????

Okay,

So I just got the sarin report on a princess cut diamond. I''m wondering if these are good dimensions from the sarin report.

Cut - Princess
Width - 5.55mm Length - 5.69 Ration - 1.03
Crown 30.6 mm 9.7%
Pavillion - 58.6 60.8%
Table 3.6 - 64.8%
Depth - 4.06 - 73.2%
culet - .6% off %1.00
Girdle 2.7%

Carat - 1.03
Clarity - VS2
Color - F

Do these dimensions look good. I thought that the crown height would be higher but this falls under the class 1A cut dimensions.

I''m learning as I go so if anyone has any insight please let me know. This diamond is reasonably priced for what it has so I''m a little sceptical as to why.

The general rules of thumb around here for princess cuts are that you want a crown height of higher than 10% and you want the depth and table %''s to be closer than your''s are (only a few % difference). Have you actually seen the diamond? What do you think? Can you get an Idealscope image?

This diamond is not in house so they said they would have to have it shipped to their office at abazias and they could do an idealscope on it once it arrives.

When you say a few percentage points what do you mean. It is starting to feel that different people have different views on this cut. Should I just have one shipped and look at it myself to decide if the numbers are close - such as the one above, or should I continue to look for "ideal" numbers and then have it shipped??

What do you think of this diamond at DCD - There are actually two that I like.

Hello Belle, thank you for the reply,

I actually went for a different diamond. We will see how it looks. I am hopefully going to receive it tomorrow and get it appraised.

The diamond I purchases is below. What do you think. DCD swore up and down that you could not see the inclusions from three inches away and from all angles. They also compared it to three other diamonds that had peaked my interest while I was on the phone. Three of four people like it more than a comparable VS2. We will see. I''m a bit concerned about the girdle and inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye, but I figured it was worth shipping in and taking a look.
