Glad I found this site. I am looking for an engagement ring. Budget is $5k. Must be Princess cut, setting would love diamonds around the band.

Just an idea of what I have in mind. Although I know this site is not a fan of CE stones. Tell me what you think and what you would recommend.

Welcome!

Personally I wouldn't choose a CE diamond for an engagement ring, for the budget you could get a non enhanced Princess from a known vendor and a setting with diamonds in, what size centre stone were you hoping for?

Here is one example, bank wire price for the diamond around $4300

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a setting that matches like the one I have above? Also might be a a dumb question but when buying the setting and the stone do they do the mounting for me?

Yes thank you so much. But looks like we are changing to a different setting. http://www.secretdiamond.com/settings.htm?&Iit=2277&Ict=437

Also do you think a princess or round would look better in this setting and if so why?

Thanks again guys for all your help and quick replies!!

Either could look good, some of the PS vendors offer this style halo setting, I don't know anything about this vendor secretdiamond.

Do you have examples from the vendors here?

There is a very affordable one by Beverley K (designer) that is carried by Pearlmans Jewelers that is similar to the last one you posted, but for a round. PearlmansJewelers.com then click on designers and go to Beverley K and rings. You might also have Beverly K dealers in your area, so you can check out their work in person. I have two stores near me that carry the line. www.beverleyk.com will tell you if you have any local dealers.

Pearlmans can also get in beautiful stones for you, but you have to email them to ask what they have in stock, or what they can get for you. So you can do one stop shopping there. And you can do a search to see their reputation on here and other's experiences. I've personally bought from them twice and been very pleased. http://www.pearlmansjewelers.com/jewelry-designers/beverley-k-jewelry/rings/108PP1/77/
