Hello all, can someone lead me in the right direction. I'm thinking about upgrading my center stone and really want a 1ct cushion. I also want to get the best deal for my money. Can someone let me know if this is a good deal or if I can do better? Any help is much appreciated, even if someone could just point me in the right direction to find a great stone?

some comparables...

it seems like the only stones in the $2,000 1.0ct range that are SI2 & higher clarity are K color, or the one stone posted above. A cushion may show more color than other cuts, many people actually prefer the lower colors for cushions as it really has the antique look.

If I am remembering correctly, your ring is a 3 stone ring???? If you are looking to plop in a new center to your existing ring, you need to make sure your setting can accomodate the 1ct stone- and cushions can be all different L:W ratios to keep that in mind as well.
Also- what color are your side stones? Do you want to match the color closely enough so there is no distinct color difference? Or aer you ok with your center stone looking more tinted than your sidestones?

what kind of cushion are you looking for?

Holy schnikies! I completely forgot about this thread I started  Thanks for your responses ladies, I actually moved on from that idea, I started thinking the same as you, that I couldn't realistically change my center stone without changing my whole engagement ring's appearance. So I decided to get a RHR instead, which didn't work out the way I wanted, so now I'm going for a custom RHR, very excited! This will be my first custom piece ever! Thanks again, and sorry I was so slow to respond :((
