Help with OEC studs

I'm on a mission to find OEC studs to celebrate my graduation in May. I know I want them set in milgrain bezels, and went to Tiffany to try on sizes (as they're the only place I could find locally that carries bezeled studs that I could try, since the bezel adds some to the total size appearance on the ear). Based on that I know I want 1/3 - 1/2 per ear (but maybe slightly more since OECs face up smaller). Budget for the whole thing is around 1000. I've been emailing Adam at OWD, but am wondering if there is anywhere else I should be looking. I also found a pair 0.78 ctw by diamond zone, but would want to re-set those, and if I went with those would have ~300 budget for setting, any suggestions on where I could have them set?

I was looking for the exact same thing (down to the milgrain bezels). I found an awesome pair of estate studs on eBay. They're being appraised today, and I'm planning on sending them to Brian Gavin to have them reset. You need to spend some time looking and weeding out, but you can find some nice stuff on eBay and Diamond BIstro sometimes.

I also found a great pair on eBay, 1.28 cts for only 1150. But, they're set in annoying (to me) screwbacks so a re-set is in order once I save up. I'm also going for bezels with milgrain and I'm saving up around $500 before I annoy any vendors with quotes. I have had BGD bezels before and they are very thin and delicate, I'm looking for a bit more so I think I will contact IdJ, I'm also in NY so it'll be easy to work with someone local on something like this. Good luck!

Thanks, I'll definitely be keeping my eye out on eBay - you guys both had AMAZING finds on there. :)

I just got some myself. I found one stone on eBay and one on diamond bistro. I am having them set by Wink's jewelry which I believe I found listed somewhere on pricescope. Here is his contact:Jerry Miller

He only charged about $200 for martini setting with la pouseutte backs. I know it's not exactly what you're getting but I would try for am estimate. I had bezel solitaire necklace made by Brian Gavin and it's beautiful. However I paid more for the setting than the diamond. Best of luck. I am getting my earrings in days when I have the time I will post a picture.
