Can someone explain to me the price disparity between two essentially similar products? James Allen didnt disclose the platinum purity on their site but a chat with them revealed it was 950, which is the same offered by BN.

I'm pretty sure this is the type of ring I wnat but not sure which is the best buy. The better buy seems to be from JA?

It looks like the BN one may be thicker (2mm as opposed to 1.8mm).

IIRC I have seen www.weddingbands.com recommended as good value - I can't get the site to work on my phone so hopefully they are an option!

Don't use weddingbands.com!!!! I just ordered one through them and I am not impressed with the company or the product. I can, however, recommend e-weddingbands.com

Is the 0.2 mm of consequence in terms of looks and feel?

Most likely not when you get up that big is size. Honestly I would recommend ordering both of them and comparing to make sure you don't prefer the BN one. Two bands that are marketed the same by two different companies can actually look at feel very differently. I know it's more expensive, but if you prefer it and can afford it, this is a piece of jewelry you will be wearing the rest of your life.

Again, you may also want to check out e-weddingbands.com as their prices are super competitive and they are always running specials. I've gotten several bands from them over the years.

Taking your advice, this is a similar one but the thickness is 1.45mm. Whats the consequence?
There is a drop down box and you can change the thickness of the band to "standard weight" or "heavy weight".

In regards to consequence- it all comes down to personal preference. My husband's original wedding band was really thick. Three months after our wedding he got another band that was more lightweight and hasn't looked back. I've actually gone the opposite way over the years- I prefer 1.8-2mm as opposed to 1-1.5mm.
