Hi Everyone,

I would love some advice on choosing an Emerald Cut diamond. I was hoping to find a really nice I or J color, 1.25-1.35 carat size, closer to 7.5mm x 5.5mm measurements (already have setting), VS or better, eye clean, higher crown preferred and no florescence.

First set includes:
1.30 carat, J VVS1, 7.6 x 5.3, $4590
1.25 carat, J VVS1, 7.25 x 5.45, $4795

Second set includes:
1.27 carat, J VVS1, 7.33 x 5.36, $4795 ( VG/G, 1.37 L/W Ratio, Table 69%, Depth 64% )
1.25 carat, J VVS1, 7.25 x 5.45, $4795 ( VG/VG, 1.33 L/W Ratio, Table 65%, Depth 65.6% ) **Same diamond as above

The 1.25 carat is in the lead for now. We are not sure if this is considered a premium stone, but I do love the contrast and how the facets dance around. I am nervous though that the diamond may be too close in table/depth percentages and may show too dark or too white most of the time, without the happy medium.

I am not very familiar with Emerald Cuts and would appreciate your thoughts and advice.

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Sorry guys, I am new at this. Any advice in how to make videos a link instead of huge?

I too like the 1.25 most, but I also don't dislike the other in the second video.

Wow, a difficult choice. I prefer the 1,25 ct every so slightly due to my personal bias of shape and pattern.

Thanks chrono and distracts!

I did receive more information on it today. It's actually a 1.20 carat.
The Sarin Report shows Table 64.8%, Depth 64.4%, Pavilion 51.1%, Crown 11.5%, Culet .5%, and Girdle Avg 2.7%.

Are these numbers good?
My only concern is the possibility of a bowtie most of the time going dark. Can anyone tell me if the information or videos show this to be true?

Thanks!
