Help with an eternity band....

Hi there guys!

I am going to be contacting some vendors for some price quotes on a shared prong eternity band. I really love the look of Jessica Simpson's in the below picture. I was wondering if anyone had any good guesses as to what sized stones are in hers. Also, I have a size 5 finger and was wondering if anyone out there with around that same size finger have an eternity band with 5pt-10pt stones and would like to post pics. I checked the eternity band thread but they don't all show finger size.

I am thinking of contacting ID Jewelry for a quote as they seem to have some really nice eternity rings popping up around here and seem to be pretty reasonable on their site. If anyone has any feedback on ID jewelry that would be great as well.

One last thing, is that I am debating on going with 14karat or 18karat white gold instead of platinum in order to save some money in order to get larger stones. I most likely will wear this band by itself but it is possible that on occasion I might want to wear it with my three stone right hand ring which is platinum. Do you foresee any issues with two different metals rubbing against eachother.

Here is my eternity band in 14k. It is over 1 carat of diamonds and 2.5 carats of sapphires. I wear about 5.5, but this is almost a 6 and I have two sizer balls in it.

Allyd, thanks for posting! Very pretty ring! Is your engagement ring also 14 karat gold? I am curious about mixing metals and whether it may cause more damage if I do that. Do you wear yours together all of the time?

Yes, my ering is also 14k and I don't have any issues with them rubbing against each other and wearing down. Good luck with your eternity band search!

I purchased a 2ctw 5 stone band from ID Jewelry and it was gorgeous! The diamonds were SI1 clarity and F/G color- all eye clean and excellent cut. It was gorgeous but I decided I wanted an eternity band so returned it for an eternity band with 30 point stones. Then I decided I missed the size of the bigger diamonds so returned that for one with 40 pointers which will be here this week. Throughout all of this they were excellent to work with and I found their prices to be the best (for the quality) around.

I would guess that the ones in the pic you posted are about 20 pointers, but I can't tell for sure ...

LA, I can't wait to see your new eternity. 40pt eternity! That thing is going to rock!

Vesper, thanks for taking a guess on the Jessica Simpson ring. I was thinking maybe 15-20pointers myself.
