help: what would you pay???

Ok I''ve looked at 2 similar diamonds, curious about price.
#1 1.91
E color, VS2 clarity
table: 56.8
depth: 61.1
crown angle 34.4
pavillion angle 41.1
pav depth 41.1
gia cert: excellent polish and symmetry
no fluorescence
has crisp Hearts and arrows pattern
scores 2.4 on HCA
brilliancescope med/vh/h


#2 1.91
F color, VS1 clarity
AGS cert 000:
table: 56
depth 61.9
crown angle 34.5
pavillion angle 41
pav depth 43.2
ideal polish symmetry and proportions
no fluorescence
do not know if it has H and A or brilliance scope results
score 1.8 on HCA


they are about $1000 different in price, #2 being cheaper. .. just curious what you all think they are worth.

I odn't know what the right price should be. (There are some charts about average a lowest price per carat you could look at here on Pricescope.) But...I'd go for #2. Better HCA score, better dimensions, and lower price!

#1 i've seen in person, and #2 I haven't. you think the proportions on #2 are better. . they're pretty close.
the prices are way on the high end of the price per carat.

Looking again, you are right. The big difference is in the pav depth (which I was thinking angle when I read it the first time.) I'm not clear on how the pav % can vary so much while the angles are almost the same. I thought they were related. Maybe one of the experts will weigh in.

Also..... I've read that a lot of people prefer smaller tables. Everything else being equal, #2 has the smaller table.

I bought a stone based on the specs and it turned out to be beautiful. Maybe you can have both sent to an independent appraiser and be able to compare them side by side, or at least you could do that with the one you haven't seen.
