HELP w/ Redesign - wedding band needs to be flush

Hi folks, long time no see - I miss this place! Alright I need your expert advice right now because I am helping a friend with a redesign for her ring. She realllly wants her wedding band to sit flush against her engagement ring, but the design she has right now can't do that. The images below show everything. What do you think her options could be? she does not mind bringing the halo of her engagement ring closer to the center stone, or even raising the center stone a bit... she also does not mind getting rid of the bezel. She just wants to have some info and education before she approaches her jeweler again. Could you take a look at the pictures below and make some suggestions. As always, it's greatly appreciated.

Wow! That's some design! Does she like that setting? If she does I think it looks great with bands the way they are. Otherwise, something a bit more petite might be in order???
