Help to choose a diamond for an engagement ring

I'm at the beginning of my search for a diamond for an engagement ring. I'm still educating myself about the various characteristics of a diamond. I've been looking at stones on the various vendors on this website, along with Blue Nile.

I recently saw this stone on Blue Nile, and was wondering what the experts of this forum thought about it. Seems like a good value to my novice eyes.
