HELP re: evaluation pear ASET/IS images

Hi all -

I''ve found what I think could be a nice pear and I had it evaluated from a great guy recommended by our forum. Can anyone comement on the stone? (Next post is the other image..)

Hi Marjan

Looks like there is a definite bow tie on the diamond, does that bother you? Compared to my pear it looks distinct but Jon from GOG will be able to advise you on this and every step of the way, if you haven't already done so ask him to what extent the bow tie shows itself.

It looks like a nice pear, if the bow tie isn't overwhelming and it is the shape and personality you want, then it could be a definite contender. Jon has a great eye for fancy shapes. Can you post the actual diamond pic too please?

Can you also post regular pics...the bow tie looks minimal to me (in the way that the larger facets that make up the
bow tie look to be a rather narrow part of the stone). In other words to me it doesnt look like a wide bow tie.
Would like some regular pics to comment further!

Here''s a regular pic of the pear stone. My jeweler friend said the bowtie is more of a faint one than marked.

Any opinions re: the the pic/ASET/IS together, or on their own?

Looks like a very pretty pear! The bow tie looks distinct to me but really it is a matter of opinion and preference.

The bow-tie is a little more prevalent than I thought but I still think it is a pretty pear. I really like the shape. For me
if the price is right I think it would be worth seeing in person (ordering it).
