Help please: Do these look good? And which to pick - Freshadama with rose or ivory/silver overtone?

Hi everyone, so I posted a thread yesterday asking what size of pearls to choose. I’ve decided that I would go ahead with the 7.5 - 8mm freshadamas from PP.

I just received some pictures from a lovely sales associate at PP and need some help deciding - she provided two strands to pick from.

The one on the left has rose overtones while the one on the right is more ivory / silver. Can someone honestly tell me if the quality of these pearls are any good based on the photos?

And also which one would you go for? Left or right? For reference, I’m a very fair Asian - attached a photo to show my skin shade.

They both look very nice!

I'd avoid pearls with yellow/cream/ivory undertones if you have yellowish undertones in your skin. Silvery sounds good but ivory, not so much. I'm a little surprised the two tones are present in one necklace, actually. They don't seem to go together.

So my recommendation, of the two, would be the one with rose overtones.

If you can buy both and return the one that flatters you less, that is also an option.

Also, consider buying a pair of matching earrings at the same time. It is easier to find earrings that match when the necklace is right there for comparison.

Given the choices, I would choose the rose tone strand for the reason mentioned by @pearlsngems.

I am Chinese and ivory/beige/yellow do not look good on me, and my personal preference is silver tone.

Buying both and return the one that do not suit would be an option if it is available to you.

Ah I’m an international customer so buying both won’t be an option. I don’t want to deal with the return shipping hassle. Will need to pick one which suits me based on those pictures she sent.

Which one out of the two would you say shines better? Has better lustre? I’m new to buying pearls so appreciate all the help I can get :)

They seem equally lustrous. I'd go with the rosier one as it would likely suit your skin tone better.

Although I have fair skin like yours and could wear rose overtone pearls, personally I do not like rosy-tinged pearls.

Did you ask the customer rep if they could put together a silver overtone Freshadama necklace (no ivory/cream/yellow)? If it were me, I'd wait until they could do so (or look elsewhere) rather than purchase a rosy or yellow-y pearl necklace.

If you like/can wear rosy pearls, the rosy Freshadama necklace does look lovely based on the pics.

If you are unsure whether a rose overtone would suit you, I recommend visiting a local jeweler and trying on an akoya necklace.
99+% of akoyas are pinked (submerged in a pink dye at the factory; this is standard pre-treatment, not a disclosed treatment) to produce a slight rose overtone. The pearls do not look pink against the skin; they just look white.
