Hi, I'm a newbie to this site. I am looking at upgrading my wife's diamond for our 10 year anniversary. I have 2 diamonds in mind.

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3060886.htm

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3054600.htm

The first (1.175 F VS1)is an ACA in house at whiteflash. The second (1.32 ct F VVS1) is in the whiteflash virtual selection. The reason I am considering the second diamond is that it is 1.320 carats, and our anniversary is 3/20. These both fall within the top of my price range.

Any help/opinions on these diamonds would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone sees another 1.320 carat round diamond that looks like it has potential, that would be great.

Honestly, I have tried looking at idealscope/ASET/Hears images and can't tell the difference between any of them.

(In case anyone is wondering, I am using the whiteflash website because some of the other sites like James Allen, do not work with the web browser I have at work.)

That virtual selection stone is not in stock. They would have to call it in for you and I believe there is a fee for that. And if it is virtual, other vendors can get it as well.

I think the "3/20" sentiment is nice. Keep looking around.

ETA: James Allen has access to a LOT of them: http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-dia...0&PriceTo=999000&Sort=Carat asc, DefaultOrder

Yummmmmm: http://www.jamesallen.com/loose-dia...carat-e-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-73657 And it has AGS 0 light performance!

Why not go to an H/SI1 and get something larger for the same price. My 2 ct I was delivered today and it looks white as can be.

ecf8503, thanks for the link and recommendation. I looked at that diamond on jamesallen, and it looks great. Unfortunately, it is 1.325, instead of 1.320. It looks like jamesallen has a great supply available, but I am having a really hard time with their website on my desktop computer and my phone.

Does anyone have an opinion on the ACA link above. Like I said, I can never see what I'm supposed to see in the idealscope/ASET/Hearts images, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have put a hold on the jamesallen 1.32 ct diamond referenced above. does anyone have an opinion on it. here is a link to it on jamesallen.com:

Any thoughts on the idealscope an the hearts image?

Also, my understanding of the upgrade policy from jamesallen is that you can upgrade for 100% of what you paid if your new diamond is at least 2 times the cost of your old diamond. Has anyone been able to get better terms from jamesallen? Is this negotiable?

I hope to buy in the next couple of days, so any help is greatly appreciated.

ERD's upgrade policy is only 50% and I'd be willing to bet he could sell you the exact diamond for a little less.

Why is certificate so old?

I was looking at the certificate on this diamond, and it is dated 6/7/2011. Is this an issue?

The ACA that I referenced above has a certificate dated 2/24/14, which seems much more recent.

Thanks for the help.
