I''ve been lurking in these forums reading all about everything diamonds for a few months now and it is finally time to start seriously looking for the ring. I''ve decided on the Round Brilliant with bead set band from Tiffany''s -

- however I am open to similar forms of this ring from other dealers. I was wondering if anybody here has had experience with a ring similar to this and where it was purchased. I have done a lot of searching and I have come up with some other options that are similar to this ring:

and

My budget falls somewhere between 4-6k and I would ideally like to have this purchase completed within the next 2-3 months but that is not completely essential. Any advice from previous Tiffany''s shoppers or from anybody for that matter would be a great help.
Thanks so much.

I''m a tiffany shopper, but I got a lucida, not the RB. You might want to keep an eye on signed pieces which sells secondhand tiffany jewellery. They don''t have a bead set one at the moment but they do have this RB. You get the same benefits it seems as well if you buy from here

here

Other than that, does your gf want a tiffany ring or is she happy with a tiffany-like setting? You will get more diamond for your money if you go elsewhere but it really depends on what your gf would prefer.

As for my experience shopping there, we found it great. We were there for over four hours looking at all their different diamonds. It is definitely worthwhile if you''re shopping there to get them to order some in for your price range. They did that for us and it was great as there was plenty of choice. The diamond I picked was an I colour and it''s so icy white. Here''s the thread for it https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/presenting-my-new-tiffany-lucida.70290/

I have no regrets buying from them.

Thank you for the reply. My girlfriend has her heart set on the RB bead set ring as we also spent about 2 hours looking at every different design that there was to offer. I did find that they are very nice and are happy to let you look at just about every single ring in the store with no questions asked. I did set up an appt for next week with a rep at the Copley Square location to look at what was available in my price range and hopefully I will be pleasantly suprised.
Once that has been settled I will post what they had and if there is anything that jumped out at me.

I would say that the Mark Morrell ring would be equal in quality to the Tiffany, and you can certainly get a diamond that is equal to better quality than the Tiffany for far less money. So do you think she''d like a larger, better quality stone in a similar setting, or does having a Tiffany ring mean more to her even if the diamond is smaller?

I know its not the Tiffany name that has drawn her towards this ring as we have looked at several other jewelers and designs. I am absolutely going to call MM about setting up a consultation after I have seen what Tiffanys is offering in that price range as I found a ring in this forum that was designed by MM that is nearly identical to the RB bead set ring from Tiffany. Only time will decide how this will pan out though and MM is gone until after the new year so we will just have to wait and see. Thanks for the idea though!

The Tiffany ring is lovely. If your girlfriend is not tied to the Tiffany name, I would personally have a similar ring custom made elsewhere to be able to have a larger center stone. Someone else here has a really gorgeous ring that is similar to that Tiffany setting -- I can''t find it right now, but it was made by either Mark Morrell or Whiteflash (both of whom do a head that is similar to the Tiffany head). I would ask both of them for a quote.

One of my favorite parts of that Tiffany setting is the way the channel the side diamonds are set in tapers to a V at the bottom. Neither the MWM nor the Knox ring you posted does that, but any of the companies could replicate that detail.

These are both cathedral style, but they have that great tapered V channel.
