I''m looking at a particular stone but am having trouble finding much about girdles and what I should look for or what is considered okay. The GIA rates the stone''s girdle as medium to thick/faceted, and AGS measurements show it as 1.9-2.9%. First, is this range between the maximum and minimum in the girdle significant? Second, since the girdle is on the thicker side, does this effect the diamonds appearance or value? Other than that, the diamond rates a 1.1 on the Halloway Cut Advisor with the following info:
1.52 carot
depth - 61.6%
table - 57%
crown angle - 34
pavilion angle - 40.8
culet - 0.9%
Any information would be appreciated as this is my first diamond purchase. Thanks!
