I found these rings on Mark Broumand and my jaw dropped at the price. I need to call or e-mail to get more specs for each center diamond, as the site doesn't offer much helpful info.

However, there are photos and videos- can you please check these out and let me know if these prices are too good to be true?

The most important thing to me is light performance(fire, sparkle, and quality cut)- how do these rings stack up?

I am not an expert whatsoever but I just wanted to say that I think they are beautiful  . I did watched both videos and I liked the look of the second ring you posted the best. When they were turning on the turn table, the first diamond seemed to darken where as the second one did not. This of course is coming from a non-expert. I would suggest calling and getting more specifics on the diamonds. I know Mark Broumand posts on these boards because he responded to one of my post, although I don't think he would be able to respond here because they are his (forum rules I think) but there are others who will be able to offer much more them me.
I did a general search of what a cushion cut diamond in the 1.50 D VS1 range and on the site I looked it was priced at $12,020, so gives somewhat of an idea. Again I am not an expert or very educated.. Good Luck!

Need more information. http://www.markbroumand.com/product/243ct-Cushion-Cut-Diamond-Engagement-Anniversary-Ring__2186-1D12431410.aspx 1.6 GIA F VS1 plus halo setting in platinum with .8 of diamonds sounds good. I did some quick searches and found this diamond. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-VS1-Premium-Cut-Cushion-Diamond-1304994.asp which is basically the price of the entire ring on the ones you found, and those settings can easily run 5K. If they are willing to send you the GIA certificate information and some real life up and personal pics at 40x of both the diamond itself and of the pave work, and back it up with a 30 day no questions return... looks like you may have found something to be happy about!

I like the F better, the facet structure looks interesting in the video.

Thanks for the input! I have already sent an email request for additional photos, videos, and all images and reports they can provide me with. I'll call them tomorrow morning too, because I can't wait for them to reply! I think I like the F better too.

I just wanted to say I really like his work. I have emailed him in the past and he always got back to me right away. He will also make anything you want if you have a pic. His prices are good.

I like the second one...not to keen on the first one.

The second one in my opinion is whiter and brighter. The first one seems to go dark in the center as it spins around. Does Mark provide additional images? I would find out if you can get still pictures and information on the cut of the stone- % and numbers.

I also know nothing about cushions but the second video ring was prettier than the first. Very nice choice!

Thanks ladies, I asked Mark for the ASET and IS image of the D stone, just to see.

They both have issues - I wouldn't buy either one with that as my only info. I think I prefer the overall ring of the 2.4 (the melee seem to sparkle more and the center stone has a more uniform... sparkle (there isn't much at all though).

the price seems low though... for a D/F in VS range close to 2.5carats including the setting? this could be a get what you paid for thing.

I like the website though, it's kinda cool to see the finished product.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing- the price is really low. I don't have all the specs on the stones either, but especially for a D VS2, (if I remember correctly), it seems like a good deal, plus the carat weight. Can you tell me why you felt they didn't sparkle Cehrabehra?

I'm not sure.... it could just be their set up. I've seen stones on those turntables that just go ablaze with scintillation and fire but these just... I looked at about 15 different cushions on that site and none of them really wowed me. There was one that had a HUGE table that looked kind of cool when it went by like ripples in the ocean and I wondered what it would look like in person under a tree or in the sun... but I dunno. if it's their set up then they should work on that, but if that's the best those stones can do I'm guessing the cheap price is for sacrificing on cut.

Hello everyone!

Mariana, one of my design consultants, usually posts on PriceScope but I felt like this is a thread I could help with the most :)

First off, thank you to everyone for the great compliments on my pieces and the feedback as well. I am a perfectionist at heart and I love to create unique and beautiful one of a kind pieces that my clients can treasure forever. Sorry about the lack of quality on the videos. I have been trying to improve my video system and it takes time. The lighting is a little off and it is difficult to perfect. That is why you see some dark reflections when some of the rings are turning. It is from the camcorder lens reflection and insufficient lighting. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.

The side diamonds I use on my pieces are all very brilliant and very exceptionally cut as well. I like to use the best possible side diamonds on every piece because the small difference in cost is well worth it.

I see that some feel my prices "are too good to be true". I believe strongly in providing an amazing product at an exceptional price. I know a lot of retail jewelers have a much higher mark up on their pieces but I rather sell at a lower profit percentage but have a lot more clients and I get a lot of referrals because of it. It is just a better business strategy in my opinion.

Also, any additional images, product specifications, GIA Certificates, ect.. can be provided by email at your request.

Hellokitty, I believe we have been emailing back and forth for a few days now. Let me know if you need any additional info. I am here to help!

Thanks for chiming in Mark. Ultimately I have decided against both because they are Cushion Modified Brilliant, and I prefer the antique, chunkier cushions. I have found one that I really like!

No worries at all. I love the look of the chunky Cushion Cut Diamonds as well. I'm actually going to look into them and see if I can purchase a few for my stock. All the best!
