All things being equal, which setting do you like better, the basket style setting of the first diamond band or the non-basket, scalloped-edged-looking second ring? This is to wear as a wedding ring, next to a .77 cushion solitaire e-ring. Here''s Ring 1
With shared prong wedding bands it''s important to figure out whether the girdles of the stones are going to be touching your setting. If they will, then you will have rubbing issues and your wedding band can destroy your setting.
I have that concern too. The vendor said that with a four-prong e-ring, it should not be as much of a problem as it would with a six-prong. But I suspect there will some be rubbing with my e-ring. I may get a spacer ring if need be.
Glad you are aware of the possible issues, the spacer would be a fine option. As far as styles go, I like both as long as the metal is streamlined and not too clunky. Do you have pictures of your e-ring to see what we think would go better with it?
I would like a white gold, diamond wedding band that costs less than $700. Signed Pieces carried one until recently. They won''t make me one (I asked). I''m open for suggestions!
It looks like both would go with your e-ring but I think the basket one probably sits up a little higher? I think I would prefer the scalloped one not only for the look, but also cause I suspect it would sit lower.
