Ok so i have chosen a setting from James allen and figured I might as well get a diamond from there too.

The specs I am looking at are:
Round
.85 - 1.0 carat
Excellent cut
h - i color
vs2 - si1 clarity

i am looking to spend about $3700 give or take, honestly I dont know too much so as far as color or clarity I need some guidance.
i have looked at these as an example.

any help is appreciated.

great thanks for the help.

these both look promising and are under budget! i am not in a rush to buy but i will get the idealscope for the second one and see what they say

if both of those are eye clean which would be the better buy? the first one is H&A and color F. is it worth $220 more than the second diamond which is slightly bigger but only H color? i am having difficulty deciding on color and what is a good compromise.

I would like to see an ideal scope image of the H SI from JA as well.

Of the three, the F SI has a dark inclusion unde the table that would bother *me*, though you need to check with the vendor to know if it is eye clean to your standards. I prefer the inclusions/appearance of the other two.

The H SI is a 60/60 type stone. It will have a slightly different patterning than the WF stone, which is cut to more traditional tolk proportions. I personally prefer the more traditional patterning, and I prefer the upgrade/buyack policies of WF so would probably go with that stone even though it is lower color.

BUT that is personal preference. If the IS image looks good for the H then it could be a very nice option. Similarly, if the F is eye clean to your satisfaction, then it would be a very bright white diamond!

All three good options.

i just noticed the inclusion on the F color SI, i will ask them if it is eye clean but you are right it is "noticable" under magnification. I wonder how it would appear to the naked eye?

could you elaborate the 60/60 type stone pattern? i am guessing the 60/60 is shown as bigger on top but with less depth as per normal?

I will report back when i get some more idealscope images of the h si diamond.

oK so i get the idealscope image sent and this is what I was told. Any opinions??? should i wait for something else or is this a good buy?

This diamond faces up a mid to high H, and does not omit any yellow. The indented natural is on the upper girdle facet, it is slightly deep and might be visible to the unaided eye. If this makes you nervous it can be hidden with a prong. The diamond is otherwise bright, beautiful, and sparkly.

Not liking the idealscope image, seems like bordering on obstruction issue. Probably when you can see the arrows, the black in the idealscope image will also start showing up.

This new stone looks promising.

I received the idealscope image for this diamond
This diamond offers nice fire and brilliance. The crystal under the table is off to the side and is difficult to see with the unaided eye. The color is a mid to high I, and faces up white.
