Help me identify this ring!

Hi everyone! This is an old family ring that we don't have any stories about, and I was hoping for any guesses on age, stone type, origin, anything! It's marked 10k gold (au to be specific to the actual marking).

A pretty ring, but not an old ring. Probably made in the 1980s-90s.
The stone is mystic topaz, a clear topaz with an undercoating to make it rainbow colored. These stones were very popular then.
The checkerboard cut also indicates that is a newer ring.
If you carefully clean it with dish soap and a soft brush, it will sparkle again!
