Help me find similar dinnerware and show me yours!

I can see why you like it, clean but also fun. I would also be afraid you might get tired of it after awhile? See if your husband likes it. If so, maybe go for it? I also love that Taika design, so much fun! Nice to find something you can call your own.

Myself we use Corelle that has 2 thin bands of blue (looks like diner wear, but much lighter in feel).

But when I was looking at a flyer I saw a place set I loved (chirp) Painterly and kind of retro, with beautiful colors.

But not sure if really practical for a family with 2 small kids and don't entertain too often.

I also like the Spode christmas tree Christmas plates. But again, not practical if only using once a year. Maybe I'll treat myself and get a serving plate of it or something.

If I had to give advice, to maybe at Target get a "fun" set to satisfy that feeling, and then more of a classic for every day wear.

But everyone is different. My MIL has Lenox Butterfly meadow. Again one of those patterns seems you may tire of, but she still gets a kick out of using them and buys pieces to fill in.

One option to consider - get the practical (or it'll do for now) stuff for the big set.

Treat yourself to a mug and salad plate or bowl in your fantasy pattern "just for you" - for your afternoon or bedtime snacks, say. Part Gypsy's response brought that to mind because that's exactly how I get to enjoy the Chirp pattern. I love this pattern but I'm not sure it's what I'd want to serve dinner on. So I have a tall mug and salad plate that I use for casual sets to "scratch that itch." I have a similar set in a holiday pattern (not chirp) that comes out in December. Practical dish set... whimsical snack set... best of both worlds!

I love this idea but I didn't know if anyone would think I was crazy for doing so!
And I do have a Macy's card so I can stalk for when it is the lower price :naughty:
