Hi guys,
I need to find the perfect gift for my friend''s twin girls that are turning one!. This friend has been so generous to us, giving us a bunch of their stuff for the twins!.
They have a tons of clothes and probably tons of toys...so I''m at a loss!.
Have you received any gifts that you loved for your little ones or have any ideas to share??
TIA!
M~

this may sound a little silly, but I was just at the mall today, and walked into a toy store for other ideas for my DD who will be turning one in a couple of months, anyways, I found this "Rody" jumping horse ball, and a couple of kids just had a blast on them, it seems to work up to at least a four years old too.A little pricey, but we''re definitely getting one for our DD, we''ll be doing the puzzle with wooden hand grips for her too.

When London turned 1, one of our favorite gifts was big leggo type blocks. Blocks

She''s got the ones in the wagon too. blocks

This too Incrediblock

And they make a lot of different sets of blocks and other toys to go along w/the blocks. some blocks

I''ve never seen that before! Looks like fun-what a good idea! I think I''ll be bookmarking that for future reference!

That pony looks like fun!!!! I wonder if they make them for adults...hehe

I like the legos, but knowing them...she probably already has a ton for the girls!.

Any ideas for something more "memorable"?. Just as some background, these twin girls are miracles and fighters! Came into this world 12-weeks too early and are now doing wonderful. I was thinking instead of going for toys, maybe I can get them something more meaningful...I just can''t think of anything!

Maybe you could find someone on Etsy to make them personalized blankets? I had one when I was very little and I treasured that blanket because I knew that it was hand made just for me.

I know what you mean, here''s a couple things I would consider if it were me.

I think this one''s really neat. It would be a great way to introduce them to savings when they get a bit older, and might make it more appealing/fun than just having their parents "tell" them they should. They can watch it grow over the years, learn about investing, and, it''s something they can continue on into adulthhood. I really like this one.

Disney stock

This is a really cute idea, and got a lot of great reviews. I just wonder if it would have quite the unique appeal if they both have one, yanno what I mean? Not sure.

What about a piece of jewelry engraved with their name and birth date. They could be matching, or slightly different (according to the mom''s preference for dressing them alike/not alike) and i would get something that could be sized up so they can wear it for a while or turn it into something else. I have a baby bracelet that i wore till i was 3 and it had a charm on it. I now have that charm on a silver chain necklace and it is very special to me

I found THIS website on a quick search

For me 1st birthdays are a special number. there has been some great suggestions, another idea that I like is books.

There are some fantastic timeless childrens books that are great for mum/dad to read to children and later for them to read themselves. The DrSuess series of books is great and rythmic which is wonderful for developing vocuablary and imagination.

My niece [now 3] still sleeps with her unicorn blanket that came with a matching fluffy unicorn with sparkles [that one is gone] and mini scrapbook [already decorated] ready for Mom to fill in with pictures. Def a special number

for my friends sons 1st we gave her a gift certificate to the place where she usually gets his pictures taken...she said it was the best becaus e it enabled her to get a gorgeous famed shot that she wouldnt have gotten otherwise because they charge an arm and a leg in those places anyways..lol

Thank you guys!!!!!
I love all the ideas!!!

Those personalized books are adorable!!! and I love the bracelets too!!!. I like the idea of the quilt as well!. Decisions, decisions...

Thanks so much!
