Does it seem like everyone is looking at cushions these days or is it just me being hooked on cushion threads all week? Please help me decide between the following. I think we're splitting hairs but would love to hear your thoughts. All are around the same price but the largest one is about $1K more. I'm thinking of putting this in a Ritani micropave setting a la Novo. Do you think an I color is going to be more noticeable on this cut than a RB?

I saw the video that was made for you. They all look gorgeous. For me, it's a toss up between #1 and #2 because of the size. I would probably lean more towards #2 because of the higher color and lower clarity. You don't need the VVS clarity, VS is perfectly fine. I just received my F VS1 and I have yet to find the inclusion with the loupe. Perhaps an expert can chime in regarding the numbers.

Number two is the one I like best, number one is my second choice. : )

You guys are so smart, I knew you''d find the video

Do you like #2 listed here or #2 on the video? I am debating between #2 & 4 on the video but they are listed here as #2 and #1. Duh...I guess #2 is the same on both.

Soo, you don''t think there''s a noticeable size difference between #2 and #1 listed here? I''m hesitant about the I color on #1 though.

#2 on here. Spread isn''t going to be noticably different than the I''s spread AT ALL. Visually you would NOT be able to tell the difference in terms of spread, the difference is so small. It''s also got a smaller table, and I like that a lot.

Also, I like how #2 has a more rounded shape on the edges. The others look more straight edge if that makes sense...

I would rather have a higher color and lower clarity too but all of the other stones available in the F/G color are VVS2.

You know what else I like? The 1,500 dollar difference. What would buy a FABULOUS bracelet or earrings pr necklace.

Good point on the spread, Gypsy. I think I like the smaller table too.

Okay, I didn''t notice this before but how come the numbers listed above do not match the GIA, Helium and Sarin? Which is more accurate?

On #1 the table is listed as 59.67% but on the GIA report it says 57% and on the Helium it is 59.9%, Sarin 59.2%

For #2 it is 56.68%, GIA says 57%, Helium 52.5%, Sarin 56.4%

I''m not going to pretend I know what the Helium and Sarin is used for...can someone explain?

Actually, that DBTY is on my wish list. That bracelet is lovely too!

The numbers on my stone didn''t match either. I asked the same question and the response that I got from Jonathan was:

Actually these minor differences are quite a common occurrence. In our laboratory we have 3 different non contact measuring devices.

1. The Sarin DiaMension.
2. The Helium Scanner.
3. OGI MegaScope

When we run the same diamond on each scanner we sometimes do not get the same results on every stone however they’ll generally be close and usually within .1 of a mm or .1 of a % which you are seeing with the reports on your stone. Our Sarin and Helium scanners are generally in agreement like 99% of the time and we possess their most top end models.
