I''m leaning toward #1 but my concerns are as follows: 1. is SI2, and the cut isn''t as good as #2, but for the size the price is fantastic, also can I rely on the EGL cert?

I live in Los Angeles and have spent plenty of time in the jewry marts to find these stones. They are with two different vendors so I can not put them side by side.

COMMENTS GREATLY APPRECIATED !!!!!

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

which one do you like better?

That's mean man!

No, just kidding, I appreciate the reply.

I went and looked at the 1.65 again, after I posted, I think am going that way.

It's just that, going in I told myself I was not going to trade cut for size, and I feel I am doing that here. But not much and in an educated fashion.

Thanks again. If you have any friends that want to chim in please tell them to. I'm about to sign off.

how do you know which one is the better cut ? did the vendors show you a sarin report ? is stone #1 a egl usa cert ?

I have looked at both. I a copy of the reports for both, with the spec.s (table, depth, etc.) as listed above.

As far as the EGL USA, I don't know for sure. I know it's EGL, it says so. They are in L.A., and buy their diamonds in Antwerp.

Does the EGL really make that big of difference?

diamond desperate,
if you've seen the sarin reports, post what degree is on the pavil angle and crown angle that would help, if the cert is from egl isreal, then look out. most people think they are way over graded.

I only have the % for the 1.65.

The page of the GIA cert copy that he gave me did not give those angles for the 1.3 stone.
