It has 4 main stones, flanked by 20 smaller stones. The outermost stones are flanked by 7 smaller stones each, while the middle 2 are flanked by the outer large stones, and the smaller ones.

Yellow gold shank, with worn internal markings, and worn very, very thin
Prongs - not yellow gold
Cut - Larger stones: Old European?
Smaller stones?

The closest resemblance to photos online are described as Oval Edwardian Cluster Engagement rings with Old Cut stones.

Also seen it called, Art Deco, Victorian, 1950's cocktail ring....

I don't even know if these are diamonds

It's a pretty cluster ring. It is may be a platinum top or white gold- maybe palladium on the top if closer to the 40's. I'd guess 1930's to maybe early 1940's. Metal identification by testing would help narrow down age possibly.

I say enjoy it and have it checked for loose prongs. Sounds like a reshank is also in order too.
