Greetings,
New to the forum and first post. Hopefully I have the correct section here.

We have had this stone for many years in the family and I have no idea anymore what it is called.
Can someone please assist me in the name of it. I tried referencing it to other stones but because of the pattern/color I was not comfortable with knowing for sure.

Thanks for the help

That’s a lovely boulder opal. Is it in a ring or a pendant?

It is certainly an Australian boulder opal but one cannot say it is Koroit. It can also be from the Yowah or a different mine in Australia.
