I am sorry for posting again but I'm kinda desperate. I need to decide by tomorrow which stone to get. Maybe I can condense this: I'm interested in the cut first then the color: Any opinions on the numbers? the IS patterns? they're not Expert Selection or ACA, so I kinda need extra assurance on choosing the best. Thank you in advance SO much!

Hey,I didn't read the numbers but looking at the IS images aren't these the same two posted earlier? If so I didn't realize who it was posting. Anyway, I have seen you around a bit, and while I am sure that there are some people on here that can offer a few words, but I think you know enough to make a great decision. Have some confidence Ang, you can probably look at the numbers and images and tell just about as much as anybody could possibly explain to you without actually seeing the stones themselves, and I bet you know enough to point out some particular questions where you have some "known unknowns," but I also bet you don't have any real unknowns.

But really, don't worry, you will make a fantastic decision.

. These are the same ones, I just thought I might get more response if I shortened the whole things and made it more to the point.

I really appreciate what you wrote actually, I felt myself take a deep breath and relax. I''m just panicking cos I finally have to make a decision! and I''m agonising over the tiny differences in crown and pav angles. I''m leaning to the F cos of the cleaner clarity, but there''s the lure of the ''D'' still singing to me! I''m a hopeless case

Guess I''ll sleep on it.

cheers, a

I think they are both well cut. Guess you''ll have to decide based on some other factor: size, color, clarity, cost? Maybe flip a coin? Heads you win, Tails you win.

Both look well cut to me. I went to look at your other post to see if there''s additional information. I''d got with the F VS2 because it''s bigger and you said it has a cleaner clarity.

My preference is for the F VS, but they are both great diamonds!

Either diamond is going to be stunning--with everything being so close- go with the bigger stone!

They both look very good, so I''d go for the cheaper/bigger one.

Thanks everyone for your input, I appreciate it. I guess I''ll flip a coin then!

If this helps...I''d go for the F VS2

But I''m curious. what are the different Ct sizes?

Another vote for the F VS2. It''s a wee bit bigger and cheaper.

Sorry! The F VS2 is 2.22 and the D VS2 is 2.03.

Anybody at all liking the D color for the sake of having a D color? I guess that''s the only thing that is keeping the D in consideration. I think the F is sliiightly better cut, but for me the idea of a D is attractive for mind reasons. But it doesn''t trump cut. But the cuts are both pretty good. Arrgghhh!!!

I guess it really depends on your sensitivity. I personally would go bigger and better cut over colour. But that''s just me!! I went from an F to a (bigger) G and I have never once thought about the colour ''loss''. Alls I saw was the sparkle

I have no desire for a D but lots of desire for carats! Take the F, dss sets in quickly!

Having had a D before and now an F, I''m perfectly happy with my F! I''d much rather have a larger diamond than a D color. Well cut D''s and F''s both look icy white to me.

Well I hope you managed to go somewhere and see a D and F mounted in a ring today. that woudl have been your best bet I think! but when you have made your decision let us know!
