While I'm looking at prices on diamonds, can you post your setting? Is it branded (look for stamps)? Can you post a pic?

It looks like diamonds with those specs run between $5000-6000. So, the price of the diamond+setting is fair assuming the setting is reasonably well made. The angles are complimentary and perfectly fine. Some prefer a smaller table, but that is individual choice.

With the other ladies, I also think you did well. The numbers of the diamond are good, great price and it looks smashing!

Are you happy with it is the main thing?

After I receives the ring, I read online about ideal cut diamonds so when i saw the gia report that the table is at 58% i thought maybe its too big? and i started tripping that the crown and pavillion aren’t proportioned and diamond might not sparkle enough. I didnt see the ASET images so I’m not sure.So glad I found this forum! Thank you guys!

The table size is fine, the cut off for the Superideals we normally see here is around 57% so it's still in the ballpark and absolutely fine! The rest of the numbers are good too, I think you did very well indeed.:))

58% is fine. I am fine upto 60%. Some like a smaller table however. 36.0 CA is a bit high, but works well with 40.6 PA in general.

It is possible that you can find a stone with a smaller table and lower CA.
Here is a stone similar to yours

Here is a stone with a smaller table and a lower CA. Note it costs $500 more. Plus, 1.0 I VS2 is very popular, and there is no promise that you will find a better cut stone within your budget.
The setting should cost about $1000. So, again, your fiance did very well for 6.5k.

Lastly, here is a good example 58/36.0/40.6 can be beautiful with minimal leakage.. Of course, your stone may be a bit different.
