Help Finding a setting.....please

I like the pear sided setting by Vatche in Plat for a RB inbetween 1.1 - 1.25 ct

however, the WF price is $3188 for a 1.0 ct center with the pears weighing .48 ct TW

I was hoping to find a comprable setting for around 2k

is this possible? does anyone know of any?

Did you ask WF if they could make you a custom setting that looks like the Vatche one? Or is the price you quoted for the WF version?

I also agree that you should ask WF if they can do something similar for cheaper. I had them do a ring with .40ct of side stone pear diamonds, and a setting for a pear-shaped sapphire (I already had the sapphire, but not the side stones). It looks just like the Vatche/Tiffany ring, in my opinion. Granted, it's 14k white gold, but the stones, semi-mount, and setting fees were only $1130. I should think they could do one in plat for much less than the Vatche one.

I want the same setting for a 1.5 rb (60 total points on the side). I haven''t gotten to the level of detail as to who''s going to do it, etc, but a couple shops are talking about getting that made for $1,800 - $2,000 in platinum and the Vatche is $2,900.

You can do better by not paying for the brand.

USF- I do have a picture on my work computer, but it doesn''t show the side view. I told WF that I wanted my ring to look just like the Vatche/Tiffany one.
