Hi All:
Background: I bought two stones-based inputs from you (one 0.5 and other 1.2). Now, looking for something in the 2 carat range.

My key criteria are maximum brilliance. So, I am looking for VS1/VS2, G/F color, H&A Cut, 2.00 Carats.

I am considering the below one:

https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/2.02-carat-g-color-vs2-clarity-round-excellent-cut-sku-a4739308

What do you think about this? Is there a better or different one that I should consider before finalizing this one?

Thanks again

I would have no qualms about recommending it based on your criteria for color/clarity and availability. A VS1 would be another 5k.

It seems to fit right within your parameters and an ACA, so perfect choice.

Any reason you want such high color and clarity when sparkle is the essential criterion?

Well it's pretty clear the 2.02 ct G VS2 A CUT ABOVE® Hearts and Arrows Diamond checks all your boxes.... so can't go wrong with that one... With an ACA you are assured of a precision well executed cut.....

on the other hand you asked me what 2c+ Round would i consider with $26k to spend.... i'd sacrifice a little precision (blasphemy on PS :))) for improved color and size and added FL.....

You just can't go wrong with an ACA. I've owned two in the past and now have an Expert Selection. See avatar...

I get your point. However, I am always interested too in the dimensions of the stone in terms of cutting. This diamond says 8.53 x 8.59 - much larger discrepancy than that of a SIC. May or may not make a big visual difference but it is always something I look at - just sayin'!

Agree - it's all about weight conservation and hitting 3x in Surat for the off the shelf stones.... ultimately it's up to to buyer to balance ACA premium $ vs what may or may not be noticeable cut deficiencies in real life...

Very true - if only you could view two stones together to make that call. I have had both and will always err on the side of cut, but not everyone uses that criteria. Makes the world go round!!

That JA stone is not an H&A, and the cut shows it IMO.

technically based on the proportions it should be - again execution was not WF ACA level - but it's Larger + Colorless....

so you could get a 35k look for 26 vs a 25k for 26....

Actually you could probably tidy up the D with a re-cut..... enough material to work with to keep it over 2ct....

Thank you all for your inputs! Once I purchase, I will let you all know.

H&A takes images, not just numbers.

Yes!
H & A is a visual indication of facet precision (aka optical precision or optical symmetry) in 3D space, where all the corresponding facets that pass light back and forth are in alignment. This optimizes the performance of a diamond cut within ideal proportions (the numbers).
