So I ordered a Stone on the 15th February with estimated Delivery for the 4th of March but I received an email a few days ago stating the Stone had sadly been lost via FedEx while in transit to the Vendor, The lost Stone was a 1.21ct J VS2 Marquise measurements 11.38mmx x 5.57mm 3.39mm Depth was 60.90% - Table 61.50%

Here is the original Stone the 1.21ct J VS2 sadly I didn't capture a Screen Grab of the 360 as when a stone sells the Vendor can't access the Content again for some reason.

The replacement Stone they are offering is a 1.35ct Marquise J VVS2 - Measurements are 11.36x5.74x3.67 Depth is 63.90% & Table 57.5% I'm waiting for the Vendor to provide me with Images & a 360 Video before I go ahead it's worth mentioning that my first Stone cost £828/$1095 but I won't be charged any extra if I choose this Stone nor any VAT the Replacement one is listed at £972/$1285 so I'm getting a discount of £144/£190 - Both Stones fit into the recommended criteria for the ideal proportions on the Datlas Grading Chart thing lol I know you only use that as a filter to help find a decent Stone.

Can I ask Y'alls opinions on this? I will hopefully be getting some images/360 of the Replacement Stone on Monday so I can properly inspect it, but Price Wise is this fair? It's my first MMD so I'm total rookie here lol also is the Depth Table Ratio ok on the second one?

Would have to see images! Hope it is beautiful.

Thanks me too I'm anxiously awaiting the pics lol, The Customer Service Operative has apparently reserved it for me so its been taken down to ensure its still there if I do want it she is hoping to get some Content to me at the beginning of next week but when Stone is taken down they apparently struggle to get the Digital Content back I know this as I've bought a few natural diamonds with them & faced this issue lo but I can't really fault there handling of this situation they've been really helpful I just hope it's not a Dud the price seems abit low for a 1.35ct J VVS2 with what they call an "Ideal" Cut but MMD pricing is a total learning curve for me but we'll see hopefully soon!

If they will do it, they should pay you for the current replacement value of the diamond, kind, quality, carat weight, cut, color etc. Have them pay you directly for the diamond so you can then choose your own diamond. Being in the insurance industry for 30+ years, I wouldn’t let anyone pick out a replacement diamond for myself, I may not like what they pick, how it performs etc.

Thanks everyone for all the Advice my apologies for not updating sooner I've been pretty busy!

After being given a Link to view the Diamond although just a front view Thumbnail I did opt to go with this 1.35ct J VVS2 Replacement & it arrived a few days ago I was pretty impressed the Bow Tie is Minimal (To my Eyes) & seems to have decent Optics, It Faces up pretty bright from Tip to Tip with no overly visible Dead Spots with some nice Broad Flash Fire too I tried to capture this but it's so hard I will upload a video to show the Light Show!

Also I do have a 30 Day Free Return with this Stone just incase but if I'm honest I'm very happy with its Performance.

I would probably get a refund and buy from another vendor.

Was the vendor found on PriceScope?

Thanks I wasn't too happy being given only 1 choice as a Replacement either lol nope not on PriceScope when it first happened I did have a quick look from various different Vendors to see if they had like for like many did not all they had were Stones either Under the Ct Weight or Lower Clarity James Allen is usually my go to but they only had 30 MMD Marquise with at the time nothing like for like they just had a 1.23ct E at $3276, Way out of my planned budget of just over $1000 - I also had to account for the Customs Fee as this Vendor is UK Based so no Customs to Pay which made the Stones more Expensive when looking at other Stores I'm still keeping an Eye out but looking at other Stores as I have a no questions Return but I think this 1.35ct J VVS2 is super well priced at $1095 & performs pretty well in all light sources

Ooh cute! I love the top and bottom prongs. It’s a really gorgeous stone. Love the bang for buck you get with a marquise cut too.
