First I'd like to thank all of you who encouraged me to educate myself regarding diamonds and not making a mistake of just buying any old stone. Those who've read my previous posts, I decided to go ahead and purchase the 2.22ct RB from JA. Working on completing the transaction today and will hopefully get the diamond next week.

BUT, this topic is about my mom. She's turning 60 in February and the only thing she wants is an engagement-type ring since she only has a simple plain band. Now, she doesn't want for this thing to cost an arm and a leg just something nice. The budget is around 6K including the setting. She likes round stones but i think would be open to pears. She likes halo setting - overall just a really nice look for $6K. Any suggestions? I know you are excellent at finding the most amazing deals for beautiful jewelry, so any help would be super wonderful!
