Hey all,
So after a couple weeks of researching, visiting local jewelry stores, refining my criteria, sifting through hundreds of diamonds online and compiling a spreadsheet or two, I have narrowed down my selection to 2 diamonds.
My criteria is:
As you can see, I was really trying to find the best cut diamond I could. I have also received idealscopes for each of the diamonds to help in the decision making process. Here are the 2 diamonds:

I have talked to a couple of the James Allen people diamond experts online, and they seemed to be split between the two. The James Allen reps who sent the idealscope image said the following: "I am pleased to inform you that both idealscopes for diamonds 2371185 and 2314730 look amazing. They both have a great spread of red coloration with very very minimal white areas throughout. This informs you that the diamond will have a great even light dispersion and return throughout."
I was wondering what some opinions on which is the better buy might be. I am leaning towards option 2.
