Hi there,

I came into possession of this ring in 2008 when my Auntie passed. I'm told that it was given to her by my Grandmother.
I'm looking to get the ring dated for my own curiosity as i've never seen another design like it! I have taken it to a jeweler and can confirm that all stones are diamonds and that the metal contains lead. There is also some cracking in the metal.
Both my auntie and grandmother lived in Canada, and my grandmother also lived in Hong Kong before that.

Any information you have would be very much appreciated. I am just so curious but know nothing about this subject!

Thank you in advance,

Rebecca

I’ve never heard a jeweler say “metal contains lead” before. Did the jeweler state what else is in the metal? When lead is in jewelry it is usually costume and wouldn’t have real diamonds so a second opinion may be in order. Are there any marks or stamps on the ring? I think it looks like a newer ring that is in a vintage style. It is an unusual and interesting piece.
