Good Day,

I'm a first time ring buyer and i need some advice. I am planning on getting a Princess Cut 2 Carat J color diamond ring with VS1 Clarity. It is going to be set in a rose gold setting and it has medium fluorescence.

Where i live, its hard for me to view these diamonds as they hardly sell them. Please can you let me know what you think of this? my girlfriend's ring size is a 4.5 so i'm hoping it will stand out. However i'm worried about any cloudiness or haziness from the diamond and whether this is an excellent cut as GIA don't specify.

The GIA report has the measurements as
Measurements ................................ 7.06 x 7.04 x 4.88 mm
Polish...................................................................... Excellent
Symmetry .............................................................. Excellent
Fluorescence .................................................. Medium Blue

Girdle thickness says slightly thick
depth is 69.4%, table is 71%
There are no cutlets.

What do you think of this diamond? your responses and advice would be very much appreciated. thank you so much

`just to add it says :

Should i be worried about this?

Is that picture of the actual diamond?

thats the only picture that was sent to me when i ordered it. i havent gone ahead to make the final confirmation but i can't see any other pictures of it so i'm going based on the GIA report

There isn’t any way to give any true evaluation of the diamond from that photo.
Can you post the link to the diamond from Adiamor, here?

it's been put on hold as i have made a deposit. so theres no other link only the GIA report (
5191101310) i can go buy.

That looks like a stock photo, rather than your actual diamond. I could be wrong, of course.

I agree. No way to give any information right or left with this. Even with a paper report, it’s just not enough....

I think you are right. i guess i can only go based on the GIA report to know if the cut is excellent

Hi Muehi,

There's really not much we can know about the stone with the info we have, from what I can see the table percentage is greater than the depth which is not preferred but it's not enough to tell either way how the diamond will look, an ASET image is needed for that preferably. The GIA report won't tell you anything more either regrettably in fancy shapes for cut grade.

The clouds comment shouldn't be an issue in VS clarity so no problem there I should imagine. From the proportions a couple of good things. The stone is pretty square and the polish and symmetry are excellent. Medium blue fluorescence is a nice addition to a J colour I think although you might never see it, some feel it can help a stone face up a little whiter in UV lighting.

But that's all we can really know about the stone.
