Ladies, please help me!

Like many guys, I''m really struggling in choosing an ering diamond. Which would you rather have:

A. 1.05 G SI2 Star 129 RB Diamond that faces up at ~ 6.63mm.

or

B. A larger ACA RB (1.15 to 1.22) from WF with about the same color/clarity... say something around 6.75 to 6.9mm.

My GF wears about a 4.5 ring so I don''t want anything too big. Both diamonds are very nice but I''m not sure whether to sacrifice a bit of size for the extra sparkle of the 129.

I will be buying in the next couple of days. Thanks so much for your help.

Well, there isn''t enough difference to worry about between a 6.63 and a 6.75, but a 6.93 will probably look a little bigger. No question about an ACA being excellent, it is. A Star129 is more unusual and appears to be an amazing diamond! I really think it''s a toss up choose a great diamond a tiny bit larger or one that is spectacular in fire and scintillation. This would be a very hard choice for me personally. I was totally a hearts and arrows girl until I saw some Star 129 video, and now I wonder which I''d really rather have! Good luck and please post some pictures of whichever one you choose!

Thanks, diamondseeker. I don''t know what I''m going to do. I originally put a deposit down for the 129, which is beautifully brilliant (even when compared with a hearts and arrows), and will visit the local jeweler tomorrow to maybe finalize the transaction. Now I''m questioning whether to go bigger through WF and get ACA (both diamonds are about the same price).

Awhile back, my GF tried on rings and seemed to prefer the size of ~1.12 carats but the Star 129 is ~.15mm smaller. Am I making a mistake? Anyone else care to share their preference/opinion?

Well, if it were me, I''d go with the ACA. They have exceptional performance and I think they offer better value for the money than the Star129.

I have a never seen a 129 in person, but a lot of those specialty cuts (I have seen the Solasfera) are so bright that they appear bigger than they are....

It is possible that the 129 would APPEAR to be as big as another H&A of a slightly larger size........Have you been able to compare it to a well-cut H&A in the store?????

I saw a Star 129 video too, and was blown away. I am a HUGE fan of ACA''s. They are 2 different looks and it''s a personal choice as to what you want in a stone. Either will be amazing. Good luck!!!
