Height of diamonds on eternity ring

I''m having an eternity ring custom made and you all have been very helpful in the past so I have one more question. The eternity ring is being set with 10 point diamonds. What is a good height (range) for the diamonds to sit up? As measured from top of diamond to inside part of band. The jeweler said he will be setting them low. I don''t want them to be so low that they look like they''re sunk into the setting. I know I could go to a jeweler to measure a few but was trying to save some time. Thanks.

I guess it all depends on what type of setting they are using to set the diamonds.

They can''t be too high because then it won''t be comfortable between the fingers. You can take a look at similar eternity rings to get an idea of the heights. I have an eternity band with similar size diamonds and the height is about 3.00mm in prong setting.

Thanks diamondgirl. We''re using shared U prongs and it''s coming in at about 2.7mm height. That shouldn''t be too shallow then?
