Hiii :wavey: new here! Wanting some advice. I didn't really know heated diamonds were a thing and if shoulc proceed with caution on enhanced heated blue diamond? I adore this style of vintage earring, always dreamed of a sapphire and Diamond pair. Came across this sale of blue and white diamond, but says its enhanced.

Compared to sapphire in this same style this is a pretty good price but feeling pressured only having 1 day to do research. Seems to be a reputable auction house.
Thank you!! Here's the link to the earrings:

I never buy anything rushed or pressured...that being said, $3000 Australian is around $2k usd, correct?

Welcome to the Forum!

I love that style of studs, too.

That being said, I personally would not buy a non-trade accepted practice, treated natural stone. And, the treated blue diamond does not look like a sapphire.

If you love them, of course get them. But I bet the wise folks here can help you find a pair of sapphire halo studs in your price range that are worth the money, and that you could resell if you need to liquidate. There is not much of a market for enhanced heated diamonds.

Just my thoughts. Hope others chime in.

Happy you’re here!

The document is unclear as to the type of treatment, though it clearly says treated. I assume the blue is derived by irradiation, with possible heat treatment secondary.

Also, pay no attention to that valuation. Pure fiction.

The blue color is from irridation. I dont think its worth what theyre asking
