Can a true hearts and arrows have a table of 57.1?
For those hearts and arrows experts out there do you know the exact measurements needed to make a true hearts and arrows pattern? or is there none? it's a very confusing subject.
Absolutely! In my experience most diamonds which exhibit a crisp pattern of hearts and arrows will have proportions within the center spectrum of the range allocated for the zero ideal cut rating - however the proportions are only part of the puzzle, the alignment and shape of the facets is also critical. The easiest way to determine whether a diamond exhibits Hearts & Arrows is to look at the diamond through a Gems Fantasy Scope and look at the consistency of the pattern - there is no other way to determine whether a diamond is or is not H&A, knowing the proportions alone will not enable you to make that distinction. If the vendor offering you the diamond is online, ask them to provide you with pictures of the pattern, if you are working with a B&M store, ask for a scope...
