Happy Monday kids!

Curby!!! I feel like I've been gone a long time! Here's how it all unfolded...

I flew into Boise on Tuesday night... and then drove north through the mountains on and the crazy canyon road along the Payette River in the pitch dark with animals running all over to my mother's house. I was glad to get out of that rental car!

The next morning we headed four hours south to Jackpot, Nevada. What a depressing place... My blackjack dealer had an oxygen tank. Really. Oy. And every casino smelled like a Malboro convention was taking place there. Double oy. I contributed $65 to the Jackpot economy, my mother won $300 playing penny slots.

Thursday we headed back north. It took a lot longer than we'd planned and I was late heading toward the GTG, but it worked out OK. There were about a dozen of us, and Wink and Resa made a fabulous dinner! They also hosted us on Friday night, after we went to the mining and geology museum.

Saturday we went to Prestige and had an awesome day of education and bling!!! John Pollard gave us a really great "seminar" and I learned a ton about diamonds, where they come from, how they're mined, cutting, etc. He's so knowledgeable! Layla (Gypsy) was there and so was Michelle from Sholdt. We also got to talk to the lovely ladies at Prestige and I bought a really cute necklace. Let me know if you saw it on the other thread, otherwise I'll post a pic for you here. Dinner was at Ruth's Chris downtown that night.

Yesterday my mother came down for breakfast and then I headed home. I was glad to be back in the Midwest (and that's not something I say too often, LOL).

And today I'm back at work...

Tell me more about your trip!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, it seems like you've been gone a long time.

Your drive on the winding canyon road at night sounds scary. Were there reflectors along the road? Dodging animals makes it even more fun. We'll never forget driving north out of Yellowstone on the road to Gardener, MT. It was like being in space it was so dark. You could see car lights occasionally but had no idea how far away they were.

Nice that your mother won $300. Sweet. Too bad the casinos were so smokey. That was nice of you to donate to the Jackpot economy.

Fun to have a dinner prepared by Wink and Resa. I bet it was fabulous. The mining and geology museum looked interesting in the pictures in the GTG thread.

Saturday sounds like a blast with a lot of wonderful people and of course gorgeous bling. Yes, I did see your awesome crescent moon and star pendant; you know that is right up my alley. I had a star pendant once but the points kept stabbing a mole I had so I sold it in one of my liquidation sales. I have never eaten at a Ruth Chris steakhouse but plan on trying it sometime. I believe they have one in Denver.

I totally get being glad to be home; I was pretty happy to see the Rockies when we were leaving DIA and even more happy to pull up in our driveway.

We got in to Phoenix on Sunday afternoon and ended up with a Challenger that had a V8 Hemi engine. Marty had a blast with it. Luckily not enough to get unwanted attention. We got to Florence late afternoon and cocktail hour was already underway. Marty's brother had rented a place with a pool so we hung out there every night. Marty and I rented a place and his sister kicked in with us so the 3 of us had our own house. Marty's other sister, her daughter and the daughter's 3 year old had another place my in-laws rented for them. There ended up being 13 of us there for the week.

The heat was unreal and it's not even the hottest month. It was between 106 - 110 every day. We'd set outside late at night or early morning but that was it.

Florence doesn't have any stores for shopping; one Safeway and that's about it. There are a few restaurants but no much. We had drinks and lunch out there in town twice, ventured up to Chandler for lunch and dinner once but other than that ate at Marty's brother's rental.

That 3 year was a PITA. Totally undisciplined, short tempered and spoiled rotten. He screams bloody murder when he doesn't get his way, pouts, cries and throws things. His grandma pays more attention to him than his mom and that is very limited. Then when they finally address his antics they tell him if he's good they'll buy him a toy. What did he learn from that? By Friday I was getting after him so he stayed away from me and that didn't bother me at all.

We got an anniversary cake and champagne for a little party. My in-laws seemed to enjoy that.

Getting home Saturday seemed to be an all day experience. We had to check out by 9 so we stopped to say goodbye to Marty's parents then headed to the airport. We checked in over 3 hours early but then had lunch at the airport. We got in to DIA about 4, had supper on the way home and got to town about 7 or so. Yesterday was catching up with laundry and assorted other things.

Work was a challenge for me today; it's hard to get back in to a routine. One of my employees went on a rant in the cube farm to our senior manager on Friday. :wall::wall::wall: My boss was going to talk to her today but he didn't get to it until right before she went home. I am grabbing her in the morning. She is one of those who if you gave her $100 she'd complain she didn't get $105.

Marty's gym is painted and the ceiling is done. It's still filthy, the floor is all torn up. I doubt he'll be in there before August.

Take care.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, wow -- you had a really full and fun trip! LOL on the lady complaining that $100 isn't $105. I know a few people like that too. As for the bratty child... well... you and I have the same opinion on that sort of thing!

Today has been busy, busy busy! We got the 2Q19 certifications for the non-MDs together, so that's always good it get out. Tomorrow I'll start working on the ones for the managing directors, which always have some sort of "special" twist along the way. Oh well, if everything went like clockwork I wouldn't have such job security, right?!

On Thursday I'm driving 7+ hours up and around the upper peninsula of Michigan where I will then take a ferry to Mackinac, Island. We're having a surprise 60th birthday party for my best friend from law school. His partner planned it and his two brothers and their wives are also coming. I'm looking forward to it since I've never been there. But 7 hours each way... ugh. I feel like all I do lately is DRIVE!

Alright, off to do some more things before I call it a day. I can't believe it's almost 5 o'clock!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, yes we'd rather avoid those complainers and bratty kids. We can hope anyway.

Yay for getting all the certifications done for the non-MDs. Nice. Now to start on the ones with the special twists. That keeps you on your toes and definitely it's nice to have job security.

That is a long drive but you'll have fun at your friend's surprise birthday party. Is it pretty at Mackinac Island? I'll have to look it up.

The chain holding my CBI pendant came loose today. Luckily the pendant fell and I saw it right away. It's the same chain that broke on me with my ACA pendant. I plan on ordering one of those wheat chains since I've had better luck with them and the clasp is larger. Very scary!

Did you get to compare any ACA and CBI at your GTG? Just curious on that. I am sure both can hold their own.

I talked to all 4 employees on my team today. The other 3 didn't have many concerns and didn't mind being in the cube farm. So then I talked to the complainer and got pretty direct with her during out conversations. She doesn't like that no one says good morning to which I asked do you say hi to people as they walk by? No. She is worried the team isn't close or feels like a team anymore to which I said well what is stopping you from getting out of your chair and going to talk to someone? She is worried things will get missed when we get busy to which I asked what is being missed now? She didn't have an example. So she countered with well when we get busy something will get missed because we don't communicate. So I said why worry about something that hasn't happened yet? Aren't all of you guys senior techs and shouldn't all of you know what to do? Well yes. So then I asked about her comments that I insist on things being done my way. So I asked for an example. She had none. So then I brought up usually I only make a "ruling" when she and the other Neg Nel are arguing about how to do something. So once that door opened I pointed out how much they talked in the room and didn't work, how she and the other lady had a power struggle / ego struggle over how to do things. People didn't want to work with them or ask them questions. I pointed out most of our book and check lists came about because she was complaining about other people not living up to her expectations. And while I said she is welcome to do things any way she wants as long as the end result if correct I do reserve the right to change our processes. Well, I feel better now. You probably fell asleep there.

Laters,

Curby, yanno I'm such a ditz! I didn't even think to compare an ACA with a CBI at the GTG! My suspicion is they would be similar in performance, but I wish I would have remembered to look at them side-by-side! Oh well, there's always next year.

Last night I worked a little late. When I got home the looming laundry pile lured me in so I did a load before I went to bed. Tonight I throw in another one, and I also have to pack for the trip. I'll send you some pics from the island. A lot of people I know have been there, especially the sailors since there is a race from Chicago to Mac ever year, so I think it will be fun to finally see what they are talking about! There is a way to fly there BTW, but it is (a) expensive, (b) a PITA because you're going out of a local airport to a local airport, and (c) a potential disaster in terms of not being able to fly anyway if anything goes amiss with the weather etc. Who knows, after 7+ hours in the car I may regret the decision to drive, but I'm going to give it a go! Time to go download some more audio books, LOL.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, okay you are just going to have to order up an ACA and a CBI and compare them for me. Better yet send them to me and I'll check them out. I am with you; there probably isn't a lot of difference.
Darn those looming laundry piles; we sure accumulate a lot for 2 people. I will probably do a batch tomorrow night.
A 7 hour drive won't be bad with some audio books to listen on the road. I will play my iTunes library but don't have a ton of songs. I noticed this weekend Marty is just shy of 10,000 songs on his. Dang!!! I like to sing along with my favorite songs when I'm driving somewhere. I am sure people get a chuckle out of seeing my sing. Have a safe trip and enjoy the weekend.

Work was uneventful today. Sweet!!!! The lady I talked to yesterday was fine and quite happy today. Maybe she's quitting. I met a friend for lunch and picked up Arby's for supper. I lifted a few minutes ago and am now ready to watch my new soap opera Yellowstone.

Marty took at look at my chain and point out to me a nice gap in the clasp - no wonder it came apart yesterday. I ordered a chain like the WG one from Sam's tonight. It is .9 grams more than the WG one so the chain might be thicker.

Take care.

Happy Saturday Kids!

Not much going on here. I picked up my grocery order first thing this morning. I made myself 6 mini meat loafs and baked one for lunch with a baked potato. The rest go in the freezer. I did my lifting while every thing was baking. I browned some of the hamburger to make mini pizzas tomorrow. My lunch / supper selections were getting very limited in the freezer.

I ordered some new pants and tops from Land's End; I'm thinking I should have ordered a smaller size but too late now. Bored shopping. Ha Ha.

We had our astronomy meeting last night. I had a few slide shows on the Apollo 11 landing and wouldn't you know it - I couldn't get to the right screen on my laptop. I did manage to finally get it to show up on the TV. Technical glitches - I guess I could say "Houston we've got a problem" eh?

I am watching The Right Stuff - good movie for today.

Take care.

Hi Kids!

The thrill-o-meter is off the charts today around here. NOT. I slept until 7 this morning. Went out and picked off dead flowers; poor things took a beating last night from torrential rain. I exercised by walking over to get our mail. I think I'll make mini pizzas today - one for lunch and the rest for the freezer. I am wrapping up the laundry and hope to finish a book I've been reading. I should proof and tweak my August article and get it submitted to the newspaper.

Have a great day.

Happy Monday kids!

Curby, I would have taken a Zero Thrill-O-Meter over an hour drive twice in four days, LOL!

So here's how my trip unfolded...

Thursday morning it was raining to the point that I thought maybe I should make my trip in my Lexus or an ark! I waited as long as I could, but finally I had to set out. The first few hours were MISERABLE. There were times that I just followed the tail lights in front of me and hoped for the best. Ugh. And then for Part 1 Of My Blond Moment: There are two ways to get where I was going. One is north through Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan and then take a ferry from St. Ignace. The other is south through Illinois, around the lake via Indiana, and then go north in Michigan to the ferry in Mackinaw City. Somehow I took the first route... but then proceeded across the Mackinac bridge to Mackinaw City and took the ferry from there. Well I didn't realize I wasn't in St. Igance... so on to Part II of My Blond Moment. Yesterday morning I took my luggage down to the bellman to take to the ferry and told him it was going to St. Igance. When I tried to get on the ferry to St. Igance the lady told me my round trip ticket was through Mackinaw City. My friends were with me and fortunately we figured out what I had done. UNfortunately I couldn't just go to Mackinaw City where my car was because my luggage had gone to St. Igance! So I went with them because they really were parked in St. Igance, got my luggage, and they drove me across the bridge to my car. "Driving across the bridge" BTW is a 20 - 30 minute trip, depending on traffic, so it's not like a little nothing hop-skip-and-a-jump. And then I got to drive BACK over the bridge AGAIN to start the trek home.

Anyway, the stay on the island itself was great! My friend was truly surprised and we all had a good time. There is only ONE motorized vehicle on the island and it's shared for policy, fire, and medical emergency functions. Everyone else gets around by bike or horse drawn carriage. The weather was great, except for one small rain Saturday afternoon, but I napped through it LOL. We ate a TON of ice cream, and there are about five fudge shops on every block. There wasn't a ton to do once you toured the fort and shopped the shops and biked around the island (which I couldn't do since I never learned how to ride a bike), so I wasn't sad the trip was relatively short, but two long drives in four days was A LOT. I was happy to get home last night.

And today I'm back at it. Certifications... oh joy!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay! You're back. :appl:
OMG, what a long and round about (and several times) trip you made to get where you were going. I am glad you had a great time once you got there though. That must be strange to only have one motorized vehicle on an island and only get around by bike or walking. Not even golf carts? How bad can an island with fudge and ice cream be though? I assume they had plenty of adult beverages too. Ugh to driving in such heavy rain. Glad you made it home okay.

Marty hit the road in Kalispel this morning at about 4 am. He darn near hit 2 deer; one was right off his bumper. Scary times there. He didn't time it just right to catch the sunrise over Flathead Lake but the lighting was pretty cool by then. He got home at the same time I did - his military bladder does far better on road trips than when he has me along for the ride. :D

I just went to work today. Nothing exciting there.
A friend of mine had me over for lunch. She was still talking to a carpet installer so her daughters fixed lunch for us and I had a nice time talking to them. They baked pizza, cookies and had Cokes chilled for us. It was a nice break in my day.

Take care.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, Marty's 13 hour drive makes me feel bad for whining about mine, ha ha. And LOL on the military bladder -- I have the bladder of a gnat!

Yesterday flew by at work because I was so busy. Today not so much, but I have a conference call I have to be on starting at 5 pm (WTF) so I plan on leaving at 4 so I'm in the car and on the road well before it starts.

I am trying to figure out how to set up my assessments for automatic payment for my new condo. It seems to be impossible... Walking over to the building one day next week at lunch is likely my next step, and hopefully they can help me set it up on the on-line system. I also need to reach out to the tenant and figure out how to get next month's rent. Oh the joys of administrative stuff... NOT!

Yesterday and this morning I did 30 mins of cardio and a little bit of arm weights. My left calf and IT band are KILLING me. I may have to get TR to massage my leg when I get home. Otherwise I'll be walking with a limp!

Just when I was thinking I should get my hair cut in the on-going process of evening out the bottom for my bob it looks really great today. Of course. There's a lady at the gym who has the exact haircut I want and I'm dying to ask her where she gets it done, but she's not very friendly. I may very well bite the bullet and ask her one of these mornings because what's the worst she can do, be rude to me? Whatever!

OK, off to look at my budget. I try to have one that goes out two years. Obviously I don't stick to it verrrry closely, but it sometimes keeps me on track. E.g., set aside $ to redo the kitchen -- YES! Buy a new 7 ct diamond... maybe not so much... :cheeky:

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, Marty didn't seem to mind the 13 hour drive; I'd be crying and whining all the way plus saying we need to stop. I think that is about the size of my bladder too.

Great idea to be in the car for your 5 pm conference call. When Marty's boss was in the U.K. he had to get up really early for some calls.

Good luck getting automatic payments set up. I need to get that done for my e-edition newspaper. It's such a pain to renew. It is so nice to just have the payments done.

Oh no for your calf and IT hurting. Hopefully they get better tonight. My arms and shoulders have been whining from lifting. This stuff is good for us, right?

Don't you hate that when you want to get a haircut and then your hair looks great; that usually happens as soon as I make the appointment. I'd go ahead and ask the lady at the gym where she gets her hair cut; hopefully she just looks unfriendly but is a very nice person.

Good idea to plan out your budget for 2 years. I just paid off my birthday ring and only need to pay Marty's hotel room and our car rental from Arizona. Pesky budgets and bills. Speaking of money, I ordered a chain from Sam's for my CBI pendant but it's not as nice as my WG one from the store in Denver. It was $100 less and the adjustable chain part doesn't work well. I will return it and just ordered the chain from Denver. Marty enjoyed reminding me I should get what I want in the first place instead of trying to save money. BTW, I've got the CBI and ACA pendants side by side on the table, I can't say one performs any better than the other. :D

I complained to our HOA this morning about the weeds along the greenway by our house. The moved quite a bit of it today but not all of it. So I emailed them again. I'm hoping my allergies will improve if they cut the weeds out back. I can dream, can't I?

I am taking tomorrow morning off and hopefully will have a quiet afternoon at work. I'll probably lift in the morning and get that done bright and early.

Take care.

Hi Kids!
I got up early, ran that chain to Sams for a refund, lifted, did 2 batches of laundry, watched the Thunderbirds, did dishes and went to work at 1 pm. I was glad to go to work and rest. My boss and his boss were gone already so I just worked on minor chores I've been putting off for the last few months.

Take care.

Happy Wednesday kids1

Curby, woah girl! You've did more before noon than I plan on doing in two days!

This week at work flew by! I did A LOT. But yet there's so much left to do, LOL. Last night I went to bed early, but I woke up when TR came in. And then of course he was awake again a like 5 am. I don't understand people who don't sleep...

Today I need to do laundry, go to the grocery store, and clean up the house -- especially the bedroom because it's become a dumping ground for me these past few weeks. I haven't even fully unpacked from my trips!

One of the children went off to Iowa to visit the grandparents, and the other one is here because he didn't want to go. He's up in his room video gaming and I know he's here only because I heard him shouting at the dogs this morning before he went back up there.

OK, off to do something productive!

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I know - I was exhausted by the time I got to work. What was I thinking?

Nice you got a lot of work done this week. TR and Marty definitely need to sleep more. It wakes me up when he gets up then I can't go back to sleep.

Darn that you have chores to do around the house. Good luck with that. I was delighted to get supper and dishes done by about 6:10 tonight. Sweet.

That's too bad both boys didn't want to go visit grandma. I remember as a kid hating those few weeks because my grandmother who lived out of town was very strict and her house smelled funny.

I spent my afternoon doing something very tedious. Twenty-two tabs in Excel that I needed to changed a column (ranging from about 10 to 80) from lower case to all caps. I know I could have used a formula to do it but it has to be totally accurate so I copied and pasted each line from another source that is already in caps. I was down to my last 2 tabs at 5; I should get done first thing tomorrow then comes the next tedious task printing it out and comparing it to the original document for accuracy.

We had Arby's for supper. Marty is close to getting his gym; they should have it ready the first week or August or earlier. His contract is for 3 years so cross you fingers for me it brings in enough money for rent and utilities. He is excited; I am nervous and not thrilled he'll be gone so much.

Get this - my gold chain arrived today and it's broke. Now i'm nervous this type of chain isn't safe either. :wall::wall::wall:Maybe I'll email Melissa and ask her a price on a good chain. I think I have a $200 off my next order from HPD. That is my most expensive pendant and I don't want to lose it.

Take care.

Happy Friday kids!

Curby, you new chain was broken when you took it out of the package or it broke when you put the pendant on it...? Either way that's unacceptable and I agree about getting a good chain! Your 22 excel tab project sounds about as exciting as some of the stuff I do LOL.

Yesterday got eaten up in a flurry of laundry and dishes and THREE trips to Meijor. I went the first time for groceries. The second time I went because when TR got home he said he thought he had poison ivy so he needed some sort of ointment, and the eldest feral's toes were at the ends of his tennis shoes so I picked up a pair on clearance for him to kick around in. Well they forgot to take the security sensor off ergo trip #3. Of course when I went back with them and walked in the door the whole place went off like a pinball machine but when I left with them... crickets. Whatever. At least I got to drive Billy Ray two out of three times!

Today TR is coming home around noon and we're going to Iowa to the fair. Tonight we're seeing Motley Crue (or whomever may still be alive from Motley Crue haha) perform there. Frankly I have more interest in petting the ponies than the music, but I'm sure I'll find a way to enjoy all of it, including whatever fried food gets consumed along the way.

Alright, off to the shower and to do some more cleaning up. This is a never ending process...

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I know; wth my chain was broke when it arrived. It does give me a chance to look at Kentucky blue sapphire earrings tomorrow though. :D
Sorry your job is as exciting as mine. I did finish my 22 tab spreadsheet today and went through and checked it all. I found a few mistakes but it should be good to go. Then I spent my afternoon dealing with a last minute crap we have to do this now. Some of which had to be put back the way it was at about 5. Marty was waiting for me so the senior manager said he'd do it and I told him I'd check it over later when we got home from dinner. Such fun. Naturally my windows laptop from work kept insisting I do some updates first. Silly updates.

You multiple trips to the store sound fun - or at least the driving Billy Ray part. Oh no to the security alert going off; you should have said oh did I win something? I'm the 1,000,000th customer?

Have fun at the fair; it's kind of sad seeing bands who have aged; that must mean we are getting older too. Phooey.

So work was busy and I was glad 5 pm rolled around. I just spent about an hour checking over what the senior manager did and finished the windows updates. Marty is at Lowes and I sent him a text when I saw the amount on our debit card he better be bringing me at least 3 teddy bears based on what he spent there. He said he got himself a present. I said okay I'll get my present tomorrow. See how I worked in justifying new earrings?

Have a fabulous weekend.

Hi Kids!

I woke up about 4 today and decided to keep watching for the sunrise and then couldn't go back to sleep. Phooey. We headed to Denver about 10. We stopped and had lunch on the way, picked up some more weights for Marty's gym, exchanged my broken chain and picked up a pair of dangle sapphire earrings. I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. Then we went to visit my sister and her family. We all went out for dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in their town and then headed home on a state highway instead of the interstate. You have to do through lots of little towns but it's a lot less traffic. The interstate is so awful between here and Denver. It's full of construction, goes from 3 to 2 to 3 to 2, etc lanes and you are lucky to be going 35 miles an hour. It's crazy! Another nice part about coming home on the old state highway is you pass right by an A&W so we stopped and had a root beer float. Sweet.

I'm tired and it's only 9:30. I'm yawning.

Take care.

First I polished my Tiffany band - holy cow that was scuffed up. Then I got out my little blue studs to complete the picture.

Hi Kids!

So far today I've done laundry, dishes and lifted. Marty washed his pickup and my car. His pickup had serious bug leftovers everywhere - that trip to Montana apparently including running in to a lot of bugs.

Have a fabulous Sunday.

Happy Sunday kids!

Curby, what a gorgeous family of blue you have! How do you polish your Tiffany ring? What was the present Marty got himself at Lowes the other day?

Yesterday after TR took the kids home we spent the day driving around the neighborhood he wants to move too. There's really nothing for sale and I suggested he do a mailing to people in that immediate area but I don't know if that will come to be.

Today we went to Iowa for a big family lunch. There were about 18 or so people there. We went to a place with a very mediocre buffet, but I reminded myself that it was about the people not the food. On the way back we stopped at a few antique stores and I got some more glasses. Plus I got some yesterday too. This is getting a little dire LOL -- I ordered storage boxes to hold 120 but I'm afraid that will just scratch the surface! I'm going to start migrating a few things down to my storage locker at the new place. There's a condo meeting on Tuesday night and I have to drop off my assessments anyway so it will be the perfect opportunity to get at least a few things in there. Baby steps!

Is tomorrow really Monday already... ?!

Dee Jay, thank you. That is my favorite color of blue. I use one of those old fashioned jewelry rouge cloths. I also have these little disposable polishing cloths I got from Jewelrysupply.com. It doesn’t polish things up as nice as a jeweler but it certainly shines them up. I also use them when my earrings start itching, I use the cloth on them, clean them and then I’m good to go for a few months.
Darn that there wasn’t any homes for sale where TR wants to look in to buying. Is that closer to the city?
You do have quite the collection glasses. Good idea to start storing them at your new condo.
Lunch sounds like the usual family GTG. I don’t go out of my way to eat at buffets.
Sadly tomorrow is Monday.

Here is the Tiffany band after polishing it. Definitely less scuffed up.

Happy Monday kids!

Curby, the area that TR is going to move is about half an hour closer to the city. Aside from being better from a commute standpoint it also opens up his job possibilities because he could conceivably work downtown if an opportunity came along.

I painted my nails last night. The color is growing on me (it's a little lighter than I thought it would be). I realized as I was putting it away that I have another very similar, although slightly pinker, color already. One trick pony!

Today I need to do training for a new employee and then I am All Certifications All The Time. They are due tomorrow and I've got a lot of people still outstanding.

Hi Kids!

Dee Jay, I hope TR finds something he likes there and a great new job.
Too funny about your nail polish color; I swear mine are all the same shade as well. A few stragglers are in there but mostly pink or mauve. I very much need to paint my nails today or tomorrow.
Good luck with the certifications.

Best day at work in a long time today. Both neg nellies called in sick. I'd way rather help do their work than deal with them. Sweet.
It was a busy day but the day zipped by. I baked a mini pizza for supper. Marty is grilling chicken right now then I need to finish dishes.

Take care.

Happy Tuesday kids!

Curby, I talked to the agent yesterday who is listing the property he wants and it wasn't a very hopeful conversation. The house is in foreclosure and he wants to offer a very low price compared to what it's listed for. She said they've had "many many offers," some of which were higher than what he was going to put on paper so it didn't make any sense to write. But he's reworked some of his numbers and we may go back with a higher offer. I've got a call in to the agent and I'm waiting to hear back from her. Fingers crossed!

After work yesterday I took three boxes over to my storage unit at the new building and went to the condo board meeting. My assessment of what's going on with that is too man people with too much money and too much time on their hands who want to be In Control. Good! Let them! I'm just going to sit back and allow this place to run itself. What a relief!

This morning I went to the gym again. I was wondering how your lifting is going? Do you notice any differences from before you started? I really need to work on my balance and flexibility... as well as losing 20 lbs -- HA! My motivation to be good this week is that I have a wedding to attend on Saturday and the dress I'm wearing looks great as long as I don't put on another ounce between now and then. Speaking of dresses, I have an absolute TON of stuff to take back from my big shopping adventure before I went to the Idaho GTG. Depending on how the week pans out I may be able to do that on Thursday. It will be nice to get some of those extra things out of the closet and maybe it will get me to do some more organizing!

OK, today is the last day for people to turn in their certifications so I better get out there and "bust some heads" as my assistant likes to say!
