howdy all. I''m horrible on Mondays btw there is a lot going on. I think that it is very important for those of us who lead a healthy lifestyle to have some sort of inspirational role model when it comes to health or athleticism. It is a great way to compare ourselves and find ways to make sure we work towards being healthier. I thought it would be fun to share and also see what idols we have in common when it comes to health and fitness. I was a bit inspired because sometimes you can find this in unexpected places. My unexpected has been Secretariat (who has a movie about him coming out soon). This horse was one of "those" horses. Too small, too lazy, ate too much yada yada... yet he went above and beyond. He was an athlete because he made winning look easy, like a walk in the park, and he loved doing his job. The horse loved to run. I re watched the Belmont where he won by 31 lengths this weekend and it was just so awe inspiring.
Some of my others have included Ellen Degeneres, Lauren Conrad, My cousin, who is beautiful and strong and loves being healthy, and despite us being on outs at the moment, my SO"s aunt, who does something athletic EVERY DAY.

Hello Dragonfly, and thanks for starting this week''s thread!

Have been eating pretty well lately, and had to add some things up to make sure I am getting 1200 cals/day right now. SO unusual for me, but I''ll take it when I can get it! Have also lost a few lbs over the past 10-14 days. I didn''t weight myself when I started, but I can tell in my clothes. WHY didn''t I weigh myself you ask? Because I was *afraid*, LOL!

Just did an hour on the bike and two sets of arms. Now have to go and flex and bend my knee for some ungodly amount of time. Then ice it. Super...

And in keeping with the horse role model theme I''m going with Sea Biscuit because he would lay down and take a nap at every opportunity!

My biggest role model is my sister. She was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis while she was in her early 20''s, and she has always been determined not to let it keep her down. She keeps her weight low and exercises like nobody else I know. If she doesn''t, she stiffens up so bad she can barely move. She''s been through some really bad down spells where she can''t stand up on her own, but she''s back with the exercise routine as soon as she is able. There are many times you can see the pain on her face but she doesn''t complain at all - ever. It''s been 20+ years since her diagnosis and I think she''s incredible. I have chronic pain from my injury to my spine, and I have "I can''t do it because of my back" and "poor me" spells every now and then, and she always whaps me upside the head with some perspective and motivation!

Matt ended up having an emergency root canal. He went in for an assessment and they ended up sending him to a specialist in another town to have it done the same day because he was in such terrible pain. His tooth had fractured and was piercing the nerve. OW!!!!! We had soft food for dinner...spaghetti with marinara sauce. If his head has stopped thumping we''ll take a walk later. I don''t have to work tomorrow - YAY! It''s primary election day in WV, and we get the day off. I thought about going in anyway, but I think I''m going to stay home and enjoy my day. I''m a little creeped out anyway because there was an armed robbery directly across the street from my office today at a little restaurant at lunchtime. My office isn''t in the best part of town.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone.

HI:

Deegee--thanks for sharing about your sister. Inspiration indeed!!
36.gif

DeeJay--nice to see you again and glad you haven''t lost your sense of humor--I hear knee injuries make you grouchy.....
2.gif

I never thought about a role model--but maybe I can say my Mom. She grew up in a rural area on a farm--and you can''t take that out of her. Her "theories" about wholesome home made food and organic ingredients/cooking has infused my life and is very importatnt to our lifestyle. My Mom has hypertension and she has made major lifestyle changes to keep herself as well as she can--as it was the demise of her Mom and brother (stroke, diabetes and heart disease).

Had a great water workout today. Keep well folks!

cheers--Sharon

That''s only if you don''t drink enough to counter-act the grouchiness!

Happy Monday. I was very diligent today on calories. I need to focus on being better more times than not. I sure wish the stupid weather would improve so I can get out and walk. We have a winter storm watch for tomorrow evening.

Great opener, Dragonfly. I have 2 friends that kind of inspire me in different ways. One friend is a cancer survivor and she inspires me to take better care of myself. The other friend has scoliosis and he always worked out trying to make herself stronger and never let her pain stop her.

DeeJay, LOL at being afraid to weigh – I am there right now. I am letting my clothes be my guide and they are not fitting as well as I’d like. This week though I am focusing on being good more than not. Sea Biscuit was a great movie. LOL at drinking enough to counteract grouchiness. Yesterday at dinner Marty ordered a bottle of white and a bottle of red wine. My dad had a glass of the white, my mom has about an inch so I took it upon myself to finish the bottle. I told them it was alcohol abuse if I just left it there. Marty and his folks drank all the red wine.

Deegee, your sister sounds amazing. My hat is off to her and how wonderful she has such a great attitude about her arthritis. Tell Matt I am so sorry to hear about this tooth; I hope he gets better soon. That is very scary about a robbery across the street from work.

Sharon, your mom sounds like a wonderful and wise woman.

I hope you sleep well.

Hello everyone!
So, Monday was a busy day at work. Hubs and I went to the Rockies baseball game right after work. I got home late and went right to bed. I did weights/abs on Sunday instead. I had no hot dogs/ice cream/pretzels/funnel cakes at the game, although it all smelled so good! I DID have a hot chocolate, as it was super windy and pretty cold. I got my Garmin 305 watch in the mail today and tested it out on my mini run today. I think I already love it! My race is this weekend! Eek. I pick up my race packet on Saturday at the expo, and the race is the next day with a start at 6:45am.
14.gif

As for role models; I can''t really think of a person I look up to regarding my health and fitness.

On a completely different note, the weather here is totally crappy and cold. The mtns are suppose to get hit with a substantial amount of snow.

Hello to everyone! I hope everyone''s week got off to a great start!
It''s relax time for me; I''m exhausted.

Happy Tuesday from the snowy mountain west. Yes, we have snow flying outside. We could have up to 12 inches by tomorrow evening. Ugh.

For some crazy reason I was hungry for pizza tonight so I ordered a small one and had 2 pieces and have a couple of lunches out of it now. I was going to stop at the store on the way home but decided it was too cold and rainy then.

Maevie, your eats look good.

Beach Runner, glad to hear you are enjoying your watch. Good luck in the race this weekend. Sounds like you guys are going to get some snow too. I heard today this is our 3rd wettest winter on record. I am not surprised.

Take care.

Hello Healthy Lifestylers! I hope all you mothers had a lovely mother''s day!

I swear, once I start complaining that I get stuck on my weight, weight falls off. This weekend I hit 166 but I quickly went back up to 167 where I''ve been at for the last couple of days. I need to get to 165 on Friday to stay on target. I''ve been doing my same old work outs, body pump and cardio, abs class. I need this Wisconsin weather to cooperate so that I can get out on my bike and kick up the work outs. I wanted to be 165 for my wedding, but now that I''m essentially there and still have a month and a half I''m going to target 160. Woo Hoo! Fortunately my dress style allows for pretty big weight changes with out changing how it fits. LOL.

Dragonfly - thanks for the opener. One of my best friends (and current roommate) comes from a family of insane athletes and we also have close friends who are professional athletes. I look her, her family and our friends as inspiration. Her mom is in her 50''s and still runs about 12 miles a day, on top of her walk to and from work. Sometimes she''ll run more if she''s bored. Her sisters are all amazing soccer players, runners, and are extremely fit (all went to college on soccer scholarships). They are such a neat family and I love stories about how when they were kids her and her 4 siblings would ride their bikes with their parents while their parents ran 10+ miles every night. I have 3 friends who play in the NFL, one who coaches college football and its insane to see the workouts they do. All the people I look up to eat so well, very clean and it shows. You can just tell how fit they all are, how young they still seem due to this lifestyle, and I strive to be that way. It''s infectious when you surround yourself with people who live this life and it makes you want to be a part of it. Lastly, I have two people I look to who are inspiration to me and don''t even know it. One is a friend of a friend. A former larger girl turned personal trainer. She has this amazing body, all muscle, she''s nearly 6'' tall and gorgeous. It''s so neat to see old pics of her and see her now as she is. The other is a co-worker who used to be very overweight, and over the last two years I''ve watched it all melt off of her. I know her a little through meetings and whatnot and I ran into her in the bathroom one day and asked her how she did it...started crying like an idiot because I was so frustrated at that point and she explained that she works out 2 hours a day, eats tons of veggies, no processed foods, etc. and that it took her over 2 years to do it. She is one of the biggest inspirations to me and probably doesn''t even know it. She said she gets up at 3:00am, works out for 2 hours and comes home to get her kids ready for school because her husband leaves for work at 5:30. WOW.

Dee*Jay - I totally know what you mean about avoiding the scale because you''re scared! After an indulgent weekend like birthdays and whatnot I completely avoid it and I can hear it taunting me. LOL. Congrats on losing though! Measurements are great score keepers as well. Drinking fixes everything for me. LOL

Deegee - Wow, your sister does sound like a great role model. I''m amazed by feats that people beat to stay healthy. I hope matt''s feeling better and you enjoyed your day off ( if you stayed off!)

Canuk-Gal - It''s great that your mom set a good example for you. Mine is southern and cooks everything in butter and bacon grease so I can''t say the same. LOL.

Marcy - I think you and I would get along swimmingly. I would totally finish the bottle too. I get my antioxidants every night, and the other day I took my prenatal vitamins with a glass of wine and Kyle stared at me and said..."Something tells me that is all types of levels of wrong". LOL. I''ll stop drinking on our wedding night when we start trying to conceive, so for now I''ll still keep up with my glass a day. LOL. 12" of snow??? Oh man. I''m spending my honeymoon in Vail, I hope mother nature stops this soon!!!

Maevie - Looks like you ate well the last couple of days. Mmmm...garlic bread.

Beachrunner - High Five on avoiding all the ball-game temptations! We were supposed to go to the brewer''s game last night but it was raining so we went to a movie instead. Date Night. LOVED it. Good luck at your race! Can''t wait to hear the results!!!

YAY! Glad you are enjoying the 305 so far!

Good luck at the race!!!

P.S. What is it with road races always starting so early in the morning? I get it''s probably easier to manage traffic at that time and in most cases the weather is better (esp. in warm weather climates), but what about those of us who like to sleep? :)

Hey gang!!!

beach I''m so glad you''re totally liking the Garmin watch. I think I''m going to have to bite the bullet and get a new one. I might do the Garmin. Yay!! Good luck on your race this weekend. :)

Marcy, hope you get some 70F weather! YOu deserve it for putting up with the snow.

Maevie, great eats! Rock it on the exercise too Great job

Deejay, awesome on sticking in your calorie range. I totally know what you mean about being scared of the scale. I am too now-a-days. Glad your knees getting there.

Deegee, Hope matt''s dental work heals up OK. Wow your sister sounds like quitet he inspiration.

Sharon, great story about your Mom. That is inspiring. My parents aren''t quite as vigilant over their intake and caloires. The upside is they do tend to eat healthy (fresh food etc) but example my dad cooks with far too much oil (and vegetable oil), and my mom probably doesn''t eat enough protein.

Pinki, congrats on getting to your goal!
36.gif
you can totally get to. I suggest you mix up your exercising a little. Maybe incorporate some weight lifting. Your body is probably adapting to your exercise regimen and it''s getting harder for you to loose weight.

Dragon, great opener.

I''m not quite sure who my inspiration is. I''d have to say you guys :) You all have little things that you do that make me think about making little changes in my lifestyle.

Yesterday I hit a pretty good weight set and tried to do some cardio. I just didn''t have it in me to do indoor cardio. Right now I''m in between jobs and I''m *wishing* for nice weather so I can run outside. It''s been cold, grey and rainy instead. Phooey!!! Sis and I have our birthday party on Friday. We''re having 20_ ppl over and doing Chicken/eggplant parm, fresh pasta and a cake buffet.
18.gif
Made one of my cakes now. Sis made a carrot cake this weekend. We''ll have a tiramisu left. Mmmm... :)

Hump Day!
So, it''s cold and rainy/snowy here
14.gif
I worked from home today. I made stir-fry for dinner. I ran about 3 miles outside. Nothing excited at all today.

Marcy- Hope you''re not snowed in! I love pizza, and sometimes I just NEED it (OK, want it). So, I understand! We have no accumulation in the city; not sure about anywhere else. Yeah, all my co-workers have said this has been a bad winter. It''s funny because it''s still mild compared to what I''m used it back east.

pinki- Have you posted your dress anywhere? I can''t remember. Aw, date night sounds like fun! Hubs and I aren''t big movie people. Oh well!

Danielle- Thanks for popping in! I do love it so far. Ugh, tell me about it (re: early race start time). I''m sure it''s for a combo of both traffic and weather, but still. I think I''m more nervous for waking up soo early than running 13.1 miles.

Lisa- Can I be your real friend and come eat with you? Your food sounds soo good! Yummy!! I can''t remember what you had before someone stole yours? I looked around and read a ton of reviews. Brands other than Garmin make you wear either ridiculously large foot pods or a separate attachment for GPS. I have enough crap between my iPod, hydration belt, HR monitor, etc. I do NOT need something else. The Garmin 405 seems nice and way smaller, but a lot pricer. Honestly, if money was no option, I''d probably opt for the Garmin 110. But, for $150, I couldn''t beat the price of the 305.

And it''s so true about each one of the posters being an inspiration. We all bring something so different to the table, it really keeps all aspects of a healthy lifestyle in line. Well said, Lisa!

Maevie- I like the gingerbread, mint, and regular choc. chip Clif bars. I don''t think any energy/protein bar tastes exceptional, but Clif bars are totally eatable. Hubs and I eat them regularly during hikes.

Oh, and I saw that PilsnPinkysMom accidentally posted on last weeks thread, so I''ll copy and paste her response to this weeks thread:

Hey everyone! Thinking I may join this thread... I started the ''Couch to 5k'' program 10 weeks ago, and have bumped up to the ''Couch to 10k program,'' with 5 weeks remaining ''til the end. For once I''m enjoying running/jogging, but could use some inspiration in the food & weight training departments. Running a few times a week is a good start, but now that my body has adjusted, I''m looking to make additional healthy lifestyle changes! Perhaps reading everyone''s updates & progress is the trick!

Off to peruse past threads in hopes of joining the commentary next week!

Pils- Welcome! I hope you join. Do you have a fav. running spot? We can be running buddies! Aerobic activity is a great start to a healthy lifestyle. Anyways, hope to see you around here next week.

Hope everyone has a great evening

Hello everyone!

Work today was crazy and I needed comfort food for dinner, so we stopped at Cracker Barrel for chicken & dumplings. Yummm. I managed to stay within my points for the day, so my little splurge at dinner was okay. We didn't get to walk tonight because we're having pretty nasty thunderstorms with lightening. We have sooo much water standing in the yard. I took Lily out to do her thing, and the water in the yard came up over my ankles, and poor little Lily Pie had a hard time finding her perfect spot. The creek behind our house is rushing and overflowing, but it's still pretty far from the house. We'll have to keep an eye on it tonight though.

Beachrunner - I love going to ballgames! Hubby and I will be in Seattle in August, and he's dying to go to a Mariner's game. I can avoid the food at ballgames, but I go a little overboard on the beer.

marcy - I can't believe your bad weather. One of my coworkers traveled to New Mexico this week (he used to live there) and had planned to visit some of his favorite spots in Colorado and Wyoming. He was really bummed last week when he realized he'd have bad weather for his trip. I agree - you can't let perfectly good wine go to waste!

pinki - I stayed off yesterday and did absolutely nothing but read. It was awesome!!! You're doing so well reaching your goals. I got stuck a few times while I was losing weight, and then when the scale started moving again, it really started moving. It also seems like when I ate more, I lost weight better.

lisa - I want to come to dinner at your house! Carrot cake is my absolute most favorite dessert. Yumyumyum... I hope your weather straightens out soon.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone!

Hi everyone! We had 9 inches of snow but it is pretty much melted already.

My leftover pizza at lunch today kind of made me queasy. I am not used to that greasy of food so having it for supper last night then lunch was probably too much of a shock to my system.

Marty is out of town and enjoyed some Cajun seafood tonight. I had 2 fast food tacos. He said “Yummy” when I told him what I ate. I wanted quick food since I knew I’d be grading a lot of papers tonight.

My classes ended at 9 pm tonight. About 9:30 pm I sent out an email saying the class was closed and I was posting their final grades. The front page that opens on the class website says “end of semester, May 12th, 9 pm”. I reminded them of this for easily the last month. I submit their final grades, go to logout of the class and there were 12 labs, finals, reports, etc. there with emails all begging me to accept them. Umm, what makes them think they are so special the rules don’t apply to them? I wrote them all back and said no, this will not count towards your grade. Oh well, I won’t have that problem anymore. I wanted to point out try not obeying the rules of gravity – violators will be brought down – HARD!

Okay, that was my rant for the day. I feel better now. Tomorrow night I am going to supper with a friend from work to celebrate my “retirement” from teaching.

Pinki, congratulations on dropping some more pounds. It gets so slow. That lady at work sounds amazing. Congratulations to her. I really chucked at you taking your vitamins with wine; sounds like something I would do. The snow melts very fast this time of year so I am sure Vail will be fine when you are there for your honeymoon. It is beautiful up there.

Danielle, I am in the like to sleep club. I rarely get enough though.

Lisa, thanks for the nice weather wish. It sounds like Monday will be a beautiful day. I feel my “flu” coming on already. What day is your birthday? The party sounds fun.

Beach Runner, glad you worked from home today. That is interesting this has been a mild winter for you. Glad you got out to run today.

Welcome to the thread PilsnPinkysMom. I am looking forward to hearing more from you.

Deegee, sorry your day at work was crazy. Chicken and dumplings sounds like great comfort food. That is too bad your friend didn’t get to visit some of his old favorite spots.

Laters,
Marcy

Last night I had a small serving of leftovers from our date night, and then had to head to a meeting. Ironically, I''m in a wedding business network group called Elegant Essentials. We are all people in the wedding industry (I''m in it for my Brown Bag business to book bachelorette parties). We are planning a bridal expo for September and the plans are coming along so well. It will be at a swanky restaurant downtown on the river and then there will be a wedding dress fashion show on a boat that takes the brides out into the lake and back, while they watch the fashion show, drink vino and taste appetizers.

I had body pump this morning, and I''m starting to think I might be able to add a tiny bit more weight onto my bars to increase the workout.

Tonight I have meetings until 6 and then I''m meeting up with my DJ to discuss music for the wedding and then meeting with my FMIL to get family photos for the wedding.

Lliang_chi - I do body pump right now, but you are right, I need to change it up. That''s why I''m so anxious for all this rain to stop so I can get out on my bike and out hiking again. I notice on weekends I get out hiking that my weight drops that week. I''m also looking into a boot camp, but I might hold off for a little while. Happy Birthday week to you and your sister! Your birthday dinner/gathering sounds so delish. Tiramisu is my favorite, you can send some my way.

Beachrunner - No, I haven''t posted my dress. It''s my something borrowed, its my best friends wedding dress so I''ll see if I can find any pics and post them up. The dress is at the seamstress right now. She''s changing the bustle to a french bustle. I actually pick it up on the 28th so maybe I can have her snap some shots for me. It''s a gorgeous Monique Lhuillier, two piece. There is a lace top with cap sleeves with an ivory silk tank under it, and then an ivory a-line skirt. Then there is a gold ribbon that ties around the waist. It''s very vintage, very simple. I love it!

PilsnPinkysMom - Welcome! So glad you''re here to join us! This thread has been a HUGE help and motivator for me, and such a positive support group.

Deegee - Oh my...cracker barrel. I LOVE their fried okra and chicken fried chicken. We have one just outside of town and I always forget to go there! My mom and I always stop when we''re on road trips though. So glad you had a day to recharge. Sounds like a perfect day. You are so right on losing when you eat more. After a bad day of eating I expect the scale to be up and its usually down, its very strange.

Marcy - Way to go on standing up to the last minute kids! I''m assuming you''re a college professor? I was always amazed by university classmates who did that and always got away with it while the rest of us to followed the rules ended up with the same grades as the slackers. Sheesh.

Pinki, your business sounds quite fun! Good luck with adding a little more weight on your workouts. Yes, I was a college teacher and have heard a ton of excuses over the years. I used to be lenient but for about the last 6 years, when I say thing are due- that''s it. Those kind of people need to learn there are deadlines and responsibilities in life.

Yeah, almost Friday!
Another busy day at work. I had oatmeal for breakfast, grilled chicken salad for lunch, and tacos for dinner. For the first time in my life, I did yoga. I did the free workout on yogatoday.com. It was relaxing, and the stretching felt good, but there were a couple position that were tough! Getting excited for the race! Eek
32.gif

In other news, my toenail has turned a lovely shade of purple
14.gif
It''s only half the toenail, it''s kind of weird. Anyways, I just hope it doesn''t give me trouble during my run this weekend. I full expect it to fall off. I''ll be sure to have my hubs get some photos on Sunday, and I''ll include the toes
2.gif

deegee- I think any professional sporting event is fun! I''m not a big beer drinker, and esp not for $6.50/beer. Hubs got two beers. We''ve been watching the national weather; seems like WV is just getting killed w/ rain.

Marcy- I''m the same way. I can''t eat too much "bad food" w/o feeling sick. Yay for putting your foot down! Yeah, it''s def a lot colder on the east coast, for sure.

pinki- Your dress sounds beautiful! I would def. love to see some photos. I wanted a vintagey lace dress, but my budget did not agree. I loved a lot of the Pronovias dresses, but I didn''t even try them on for fear I''d fall in love and wouldn''t be able to afford them. Your bridal expo sounds like a lot of fun! Enjoy planning!

Maevie- I''ve NEVER gotten a massage, and let me tell you how much I would LOVE one. The popcorn is back! Yes!

Hope everyone else is well! I feel like it''s been a slow week on this thread. Oh well, lots of busy PS''ers!

Happy Friday kids!

So I decided to celebrate the fact that it was Thursday night by having the left over pizza and wine from Wednesday night...
20.gif

I did however get on the scale this morning. 137.8. A FAR cry from my happy 125!
39.gif
Back on track NOW. Seriously, this not working out is just KILLING me!!!

Busy day ahead; my assistant is out (she''s seeing the Dali Lama!), but I''ll try to check back in later.

BeachRunner - I`m excited by the return of the popcorn as well - not sure where it went for awhile.. I do tend to get very narrow and focused in my eating for periods of time :) but it`s back and it`s delicious!

Hi everyone. I met the in-laws for drinks after work. They go out every Friday night with about 8 other couple and they call themselves the “winos”. They were quite entertaining. Marty is still out of town (he gets back tomorrow) and I was texting him and he thought I was totally drunk. He even told me to give his dad my keys and have them take me home. I had to call him before I left so he could be sure I was okay. I only had one glass of wine. I was expecting my dad to show up with instructions from Marty to drive me home.

We are getting a lot of rain tonight; how refreshing something wet we don’t have to shovel.

I finally noticed PS will be down on Monday. What will we do?

Maevie, glad the popcorn is back. My friend at works makes a bag every afternoon and has been out for 2 weeks. She was just telling me last night she needs to pick up some more.

Beach Runner, stretching always feels good to me. I hope your toenail (or lack thereof) doesn’t bother you during your race. At least it’s colorful.

DeeJay, what does that silly scale know? We finally have some nice weather in our forecast, I will get out there and walk. I will! The last of my pizza is still in the refrigerator – hopefully Marty will polish it off tomorrow when he gets home.

I hope to sleep in tomorrow. That would be a treat.
Have a great weekend.

Hey ya''ll! Happy weekend!
Just a quick check in. I went to the race expo and got my race gear. There wasn''t too much to look at, so we only stayed about 30 minutes. I''m going to eat stir-fry w/ brown rice and tofu for dinner. Friday night I had some whole wheat pasta w/ red sauce and some sautéed mushrooms. I did a slooow 2 miles today (10:30-11:00/mile pace) just to warm up for tomorrow. I feel good and I am ready. In toenail news, and I forewarn you, it''s kind of gross: I could see the blood blister at the top of my nail,so some alcohol and a hot needle = popped blister. It oozed for awhile, and is still oozing a little, but the nail is not black/purple anymore. I''m sure I still have a good chance of losing the nail but there is no more pressure. I just hope it doesn''t bother me tomorrow. Anyways, I''ll lay out my clothes as 5am will certainly come early. My husband said he''ll drive along the course and try to snap some photos of the runners and me w/ the mtns and the city in the background.

After the race, I''ll get cleaned up and I think hubs and I will grab some lunch/drink somewhere with hopes to sit outside and just enjoy the day.

I hope everyone has a wonderful remainder of the weekend, and I guess I''ll check in Tuesday via the new and improved PS!

Beach Runner, ewe! Glad the pressure is released in your toenail; I hope it holds up in your race tomorrow. Good luck with your race.

Marty got home from Chicago this afternoon. I made lasagna for us for supper. Now I have lots of lunches left over too.

I slept in till almost 9. Wow, that was nice. I went grocery shopping this morning.

It should be nice enough for Marty to play golf tomorrow. I will work on laundry and I plan to go on a walk.

Take care.

Hey everyone it''s my big 3-0 birthday today!!!! I made my own birthday breakfast
20.gif
and we''re going out to dinner with sis and her boyfriend. Sis and I went to Napa for our 25th birthday, and I had bought a bottle of wine that the winemaker said it needed 5 yrs to age. I was like, "Meh, I''ll get it, open it on our 30th birthday." So we''re doing a BYOB Italian place tonight and I''m bringing the bottle. :)

That''s about it. we had our party on Friday and it was a great success. Everyone had a good time. Thursday we''re going to Mexico for a wedding. :)

Catch up with everyone on next week''s thread (I know the weekends are usually pretty slow).

Hey Marcy! :) Glad you had a good wine night. Marty''s so funny. I"M glad he made it back from Chicago. :)
