Finally I have my diamond after months of obstacles and what seemed like wrong timing now has ceased, and all is coming together. I have been online for over a year now but I was giving myself time off from the decision and wanted to learn more. My fiance helped a small bit in the final choice too. It has been a long journey but I am willing to be patient now that it is finally being set. When I picked up my diamond from MDX I was surprisingly relaxed, I think the wait had drained me. LOL
I was juggling two designs but now have settled on one that I think is a bit different to the norm, I was very pleased with Holloway Diamonds who are setting my stone, they were patient and really helpful with the design that I had in my head mostly. When I figure out how to post images I will try to put the ones I took of my loose diamond. The specs:
1.43 carat
F color
IF clarity
Polish EX
Symmetry EX
Fluore Medium Blue
Table 56
Depth 61
crown 34
Pavil 40.8
HCA score: 0.9
Did I miss anything? It is all overwhelming at the moment, but now I can take a break from all the decision making and running round. That we can all appreciate from time to time. Now I must wait and believe I have put it in the best capable hands I could possibly find! I have loved their catalog and how secure their stones look in their thick setting/prongs. LOVE LOVE LOVE .........that is why I am also trusting them with my wedding bands too!
