My stone rated "excellent" in fire and brilliance, but only "very good" on scintillation. HCA was 1.6. What do you all make of this? How bad is this? How bad can scintillation get with that score? Is this a "deal-breaker" for anybody? The stone has perfect symmetry i.e. H&A. It''s really the only thing wrong, but was a very expensive stone!

I wouldn''t say this is a deal breaker at all. And "very good" should not be taken as something wrong by any means. From the limited information provided, you look to have a good stone. Do you have additional specs or imagery i.e. idealscope, etc.?

I don''t have any firescope/brilliancescope images-- the numbers seemed good

61.7 total depth

34.6 CA

40.9 PA

55 table--

but I didn''t get to see contrast on a firescope....

I agree with kcwade33. The HCA is helpful, but it''s not the Bible. There is a strong likelihood that you will love this diamond once you see it for yourself. Don''t let your decision rest upon the HCA. If you do, than you''ll possibly pass on an unbelievable stone.....
