So I bought a pair of Manolo''s with the caveat that I''d totally re-wear them. Well I thought I might for our company xmas party but I got a pair of gorgeous 5 inch heels to wear with my dress instead. I somehow feel like my manolo''s are a bit dated for the current high heel fashion. (I got the silver manolo sedaraby''s)

I know that''s a classic shoe but I''m starting to wonder if/when I''m going to be ''re-wearing'' these things. Maybe I should sell them? I wore them only once. Here''s the kicker too. It was a semi-rainy day on my wedding day so I spent about an hour in the shoes and the rest of the time in flip flops which were SO comfy and well hidden under my dress. Which of course everyone said (no one sees the shoes etc) when I was going through my ''should I buy these shoes'' phase.

I haven''t...but then again I don''t often wear dressy heels like my wedding shoes...if you want the money rather than the shoes sitting there than by all means sell them!

I''ve worn mine, but only on our anniversary because they''re sentimental. I have worn the silly gold-glittered wedge flip flops that I changed into for the reception many times, though.

I''d say that if you aren''t attached to them and won''t wear them, sell them. May as well get some of the money back, right?

Has anyone gotten the sedaraby''s and re-worn them? I know quite a few ladies on here have bought them.

Yup. I have. But mine were practical silver leather open toe wedge sandals that can be worn with jeans if I want.

Yours? I would sell. I''ve GOT to get around to selling the Regina B earrings of mine.

Mine were gold flats, and though I haven't worn them again yet I'm sure I will. They can be dressed way down... they'd look cute with a skirt + top or jeans. I need to do it once to get over the "I'm going to ruin my wedding shoes!" hump

I was hoping they could be my go-to wedding shoes, starting with my brother's wedding in March, but I've been asked to wear red ones. Oh well

No, I actually never reworn my shoes...

I would sell them if you really don''t think you''re going to wear them again and you don''t want to keep them for sentimental reasons. I have high hopes to wear mine again after the wedding, but you never know.

FWIW, I think those are beautiful shoes. You could even wear them with nice jeans out to dinner or something! At least that''s what I would do.

Not a bad idea. Maybe after the holidays. Just seems lame to keep them if I don''t wear them, no matter how sentimental. Manolo''s ain''t cheap!

I''ve tried to sell some wedding things recently. The only things that have sold very quickly where the white votive candles and holders I had. Things like the gold chargers which you''d think would sell quickly haven''t. I assume with xmas looming it''s not the time to unload that kind of stuff.

I think I''m keeping my wedding jewelry. I definitely am keeping my dress.

Yeah I''m going to think about it until after xmas and see if I can indeed wear them with something that will make it worth it.

Violet, what size are your Manolo''s? I ordered the silver sedarabys too (not for the wedding, just because I love them), but mine were too small. I tried on the size 36 (which I usually wear) but they were huge, and they didn''t have any smaller sized one''s when I went. So I ordered the 35s and they are way too tight...

So now I want to buy the 35.5s...but of course they are sold out...Let me know...I don''t want them for the wedding...I actually just want them for other special occassions...I want the nude feather Catalinas for the wedding, or the blue ones...geez...I want! I want! I want!

Let me double check on the size and let you know. My silver leather ones were true to size though I''m pretty sure. I tried on some satin ones that seemed tight though. I''ll re-respond once I look!

I did re-wear my heels from the ceremony to a wedding a few years later, but they ended up being uncomfortable for long periods and I got rid of them. For the reception I had white moccasins that I never wore again, and finally gave them to good will after 7 years in the closet.

I''d try to sell them, you could get something nice for yourself with the money

I have Sedarabys in red and silver. I''m saving the silver for my wedding but I''ve worn the red ones out plenty of times. I adore them. I will definitely wear the silver ones once the wedding has come and gone. I''ve worn them around the house with dresses and things and they always look fab. Then again if you''re not going to wear them, there''s not much point in keeping them.

If you want to try to sell them, it might be easier to find a buyer before the holidays than after. Someone may buy them as a holiday gift for a loved one, or someone could buy them to go with a fancy new years eve dress. In January, I would think there would be less people looking to buy expensive shoes (apart from brides I suppose). Just a thought.

I haven''t reworn mine but do plan to. It''s hard to find an outfit that goes with the green satin!

I''ve reworn my wedding shoes.

I wore Flash from Touch-ups, which is a pretty simple shoe. They look nice with skirts I wear to job interviews because they aren''t flashy - they''re just plain satin. Just a nice shoe, and they look far more appropriate than any other shoes I have (which is pretty much tennis shoes, some colored heels and a patent leather heel. I''m not a shoe person.)

My wedding is not until May. I plan to re-wear mine one day :)

omg, silver manolo sedarabys are my dream shoe. If I could afford to buy them, I''d wear them over and over and over...

I only wish I had your conundrum!!!

I totally plan on wearing my bright blue suede shoes again after the WEDDING they are FAB-U-LOUS!

silver leather ballet slippers, heck yeah, all the time. I too would love Sedarbys...but am just too far from the ground with that kind of heel. jealous of you who can do that.

Where did you find said gorgeous 5" heels? I am looking for some for my wedding, and it is hard to find any that don''t involve lucite in the design.

I had three pairs of wedding shoes. First pair were completely ruined by the outdoor ceremony. Grass stains, apparently I kicked them off a few times (there are black toe marks on the satin), and all of my bms and girlfriends signed the soles prior to the ceremony. We also glued a sixpence to one of them. I''d probably never wear them again, but I kept them as a keepsake. They''re in my cedar chest, and I see them every time I get out PJs or lingerie.

Second pair was for our second wedding ceremony...I have not re-worn them, but I probably will someday. They''re very simple, low heel sling back, white satin.

But I have re-worn the flip-flops I bought for the reception! Since they''re beaded and kinda bridal-y, I wore them with a sundress on our anniversary.

Okay so I checked. I ordered a size 8. The label on the box says 8B. The shoe says 38 though and according to the conversion chart that''s actually supposed to be a 7.5 suprise suprise. They fit just right regardless.

Sorry! They are 4.5" heels per the site. I measured them at 5" though and they are taller than my other 4.5" chinese laundry heels. I got them at ShopBop.com... I think that's the height I see a lot of shoes at right now (4.5)..

Here's a pic. .They are report signature brand shoes.
You can find them at:

Great shoes to go with my black cocktail dress for my company party. These aren't very wedding-y though.
