Happy New Year LIW! Any plans for tonight?

We are going to a piano bar with SO''s cousin, her husband and some of their friends. It''s one of those dueling piano type places and I have heard it''s really fun. Also includes a big dinner. The best part is, it gives me an excuse to dress up!

What''s everyone else up to tonight?

We''re having some friends of our over and are going to drink champagne and get all dressed up! We''ll probably play some board games or something as well.

Cruise on the San Francisco Bay tonight Champagne, dinner and full bar are all included and I get to spend the new year with the love of my life!

My plans aren''t too exciting--just going to a friend''s party--but I do believe that FI''s brother may be proposing to his girlfriend tonight! He has hinted as much to FI, and I have gotten some LIW vibes from her, so I really, really hope it happens. (But I secretly hope they don''t want to get married this summer/fall, because that will mean SIX weddings in six different states for me to go to, not including my own!)

Not anymore. I might go to my friend''s house for dinner because there''s no way I can cook. I ended up getting sick and having to leave work, and I''ve been asleep since 10:30 and woke up about 20 minutes ago.

So I might not even be able to sleep. Or I''ll sleep like the dead.

oh, i always thought that getting engaged on new years would be the greatest. i was actually gonna start a thread about it. how magical it would be.

I totally agree. What a perfect way to start the year, and to ensure New Year''s will always be very special.

We got comfy, hopped in bed and watched South Park until just about midnight, turned the ball on, then watched some Moral Oral while he fell asleep and I was awake until 1:30. Very sedate, and we stayed warm and comfy.
