I had a wonderful day, which was made even better by the kind words and wishes on this thread. Thank you.

Decemeber has been quite a month. My dear Mum came over for her first ever visit to Oz. She is 78 and had never travelled anywhere by herself so it was quite an accomplishment. So that truly was my Christmas and birthday gift, to have her here with us.

For my actual birthday I spent the morning getting ready for our NYE party, which will have just under 30 guests. I am only good with small numbers so this is freaking me out . Then the rest of the day was spent at our lovely friends house.

I was thoroughly spoiled. You may recall I didn't know what to get for both Christmas and my birthday, so decided to wait and use the money for another bling project later in the year. My husband said NOOOOOO!! I can do the bling project whenever I like but I must choose something. I gave him a couple of options and told him to surprise me. They were from Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Apple. No serious bling as what I had in mind was way to expensive and it was also too late to order from the US, as he insisted it must be here on the day.

So for Christmas I got a LV bag, Bloomsbury PM, which is great for daily wear and a little Return to Tiffany bead bracelet. For my birthday I got a new retina display iPad and bluetooth headphones (perfect for skyping back home). So I was delighted.

There is also a lovely thing on its way to me as I was allowed to bend the rules a little.
Anyway, as fate would have it, I had fallen in love with HOT's 5 stone at our Perth Ps GTG. I just adored it and it reminded me of an OEC one that I missed out on on DB.

Well it came back up for sale and I got it!! It is MTG's ring. It should be here in a week or two.

I have also included a picture of my new antique cushion from Old World Diamonds. That will be my new year bling project to find it a new home. Thread will come in January. I want to spend as much time with my Mum as possible. Oh and mum bought me Chanel No 5, which I adore but couldn't bring myself to buy it again after it ran out as this is the scent that reminds me most of her!!
