Halo.....deconstructed

I haven''t officially posted my set here because I haven''t been 100% happy with it....until now!!!! Here''s the evolution of my ring setting.

A year ago, for our 5th wedding anniversary, we upgraded my stone from a 1.1 to a 1.61 I VS2. I thought I was IN LOVE with halo settings and so that''s what I got.

After wearing my new ring, I quickly discovered that I just didn''t love the halo on me. Sooooo, I re-set my stone into a simple knife edge solitaire.

Then I figured out that I wanted more bling in my setting and I had an "A HA" moment! What if I could remove the halo from my original setting and put a head in its place to mount the stone? My jeweler was able to use the stones from the halo portion and use them in the prongs of the new head. Here she is, in what I HOPE will be her final home!!!!!!

Thank you all SO very much! I''ve always kinda felt like an outsider on PS, looking in at everyone who has their perfect, beautiful rings. Now, I feel like one of you!

I am really thrilled with how it turned out. Yay for talented jewelers!!!
