I am currently searching for half eternity wedding sets and found one that I really like from ID Jewelry - here's a link to the set I'm looking at.

It basically fits everything I've been looking for in terms of melee size, style, etc, but I'm thinking of asking if they can round the edges of the metal to more of a comfort fit, as I feel that the flatness of the metal as it is isn't really to my taste. Throughout my ring shopping, I've been drawn to pieces with rounded edges like comfort fits and have passed over those that had extremely flat edges so I'm thinking the flatness COULD bother me when I receive the rings. Because my ring size is small, they'll be custom making this particular set for me and I wonder if I should ask that they round out the edges when they make it. Would this even look right? I don't think I've actually seen any half eternity rings that looked like they were also comfort fit, so I also wonder if it can even be done, or if it would just look weird with this type of setting? What are your thoughts?

p.s. if anyone out there does have a half eternity with a comfort fit, or even just slightly curved edges, I'd love to see pictures!

I don''t have any pictures to share, BBD, but I saw the setting you were looking at. I think it''s a very pretty setting and that when they custom make yours, they should be able to round it like you request. Unfortunately, I don''t know how that would affect the look. I was noticing something else as well. Will you be ok with the tiny little gaps that you''ll have between your e-ring and w-band? I don''t think that the two rings will sit exactly flush to each other. I tried a similar setting before and just couldn''t get over the gap, but that was me. If you''re ok with it, then Luann and the ID Jewerly crew will definitely be able to take care of you! They are awesome!! Good luck on your setting search!

Hi Luckyeshe! Thanks for the reply. I''m pretty sure that I''ll be ok with the gap. I had originally wanted to find a set that would fit flush together but it looks like I will be unable to find a shared prong eternity e-ring with a six prong head that sits flush with an eternity band unless I go the completely custom route. I''ve asked for quotes from several jewelers about making this type of setting, but they were all much, much higher than what we''ve budgeted for a setting. I''ve found similar affordable sets that did sit flush, but they all came with four prong heads, and after a lot of thought I decided that having six prongs on my ering was more important to me than having my set sit completely flush. Hopefully I won''t change my mind about that! I just tell myself that the other setting I would have wanted (a halo) wouldn''t have been able to have a flush fit wedding band either, unless I went with one of those curved bands, which isn''t quite my style.
