Gypsy and others having a vineyard wedding

Hey Gypsy-

I went to a wedding recently where they had wine cork placecard holders and I thought I have to remember to tell Gypsy about it. Unfortunately I didn''t get a picture of them at the wedding, but I did find something similar online. You can buy them pre-made but it''s so much more fun to consume the wine yourself to save up enough corks, no?

Those are awesome! I may have to use that idea! We''ve lost all the favors. Have no idea where we put them at my mom''s house. So unless we find them and can go back to our original plans, I needed a new idea for the escort cards.

Thank you sap! Gives me an excuse to hit the bottle between now and the wedding.

I''m going to help make this for my friend''s wedding too.

I haven''t tried any of these yet, but some ideas on how to level the bottom:
Shaving the bottom with a wood planer
Cutting with a serrated knife
Perhaps trying a very good vegetable peeler

Some alternative ideas instead of cutting the bottom of the cork:
Putting 2 beads of glue along the length of the cork to act like "feet" so the cork won''t roll
Inserting tacks or something in 4 corners to act like "feet".
