After checking out the recent favorite TV show topic, I became curious about those terrible TV shows that we really don't want to admit that we like. While we don't have cable, we do have netflix, which has a TON of ridiculous stuff to check out. Thanks to my addiction to bad TV, DH hates our queues, which include titles like 'absurd movies', 'ridiculous 80's movies', 'high school teen drama TV', 'supernatural drama', etc

Some of the shows that I watch and am a little embarrassed to admit:

Lost Girl (I started watching it last week and have already finished both seasons..ridiculous!)
Vampire Diaries
Once
Warehouse 13 (Just started this week and I'm already addicted)
Oh and I started watching One Tree Hill...scheesh!

Clearly there is a supernatural theme here and those are just a few of the terrible, yet addicting shows that I get sucked into.

sshhhhh...don't tell anyone {especially Mr. St. Clare} that I would drop ANYTHING and watch BBC's rendition of "Robin Hood".....it's horrible, but has one redeeming feature; RICHARD ARMITAGE is in it. The dude who plays Robin? He's been christened the Justin Beiber of Sherwood Forrest....

Sunday nights you can find me at 8PM solving crimes right along with COLUMBO.

I don't have anything too positive to say about the state of today's TV, BUT:

I refuse to go to bed without my nightly episodes of JUDGE JUDY.

Teen mom
Pretty little liars
Here comes honey boo boo (it's such a train wreck, I have to watch it haha!)

:saint:

Bachelor/Bachelorette --- I know it is crap, I know it is staged, I know it is garbage... and I know I am powerless in its pull!!! Woo hoo that it starts up again on Monday January 7th!!!

Ooh, thanks for this Enerchi! :appl: This too is my "guilty" pleasure show (and yes, it really is such crap lol) and thanks for letting me know it is starting back up Monday!! My poor dh won't be too happy though as I like to watch it with him because it's not as much fun as watching it alone (for me).

Another "guilty" pleasure show(s) that I love to watch is the Real Housewives series. I watch BH, Miami (just started Miami this season), NY and NJ. LOL, these women cannot be for real but I so enjoy these shows. I guess there is something in me that must be warped haha.

Storage Wars, Storage Wars Texas, Storage Wars New York, Storage Hunters. I know it is probably staged, but I have to see if they find a "treasure" in there.

I like Warehouse 13, too!

But my guiltiest of guilty pleasures? Xena, Warrior Princess. Netflix has all ten seasons.

Anything on ID - or any reality crime show.

I actually started watching them less lately because I am thinking all that scary reality of murders and mothers killing their children, and teenagers killing their parents...huh...cannot be good for my brain? :errrr:

Also love court shows - favorites are Judge Millian and Judge Judy.

Gossip Girl! 8)
But it's over now... moved onto x files ::)

Hi,

My guilty pleasure show is Paris Hilton/ I got to see Charlie Sheens ex wife and how she lives and Paris trying to find love and be a grown-up. Part of me thinks she is quite sweet--not a mean girl at all. She seems naive and a bit stupid, but I love how she wants to be in the spotlight. I watched the whole season. In truth, there was not another show on that I liked better at the time slot and found this while channel surfing.

Annette

I think most of the shows I watch fall under the "Guilty Pleasure" category:

All the Teen Moms/16 and Pregnant shows
Catfish (LOVE this one)
Dance Moms
Cheer Perfection
Toddlers and Tiaras
Sister Wives

Gypsy weddings. I'm 1/4 Romany gypsy (my husband said I didn't inherit the cleaning obsession they seem to have) and it interests me seeing the way they live. I'm always appalled at their dress sense and they way they dance though. Whats that all about? And how are they so rich?!

AMC, have you been peeking in my living room window?

Stacy and avia, DH and I are Warehouse addicts, too! Just started Season 4...looks like it'll be interesting, to say the least!

I am so glad to hear that I'm not the only one with ridiculous TV show tastes!

Yes. If you could open your blinds a bit more that would be super :)

I'm a little more on and off with it; I don't watch espisodes back to back, but it's always a reliable option when I can't find something else, which is awfully nice.

Adding --- ALL variations of anything wedding ESPECIALLY "Say Yes to the Dress"!! OMG!! I love that show!!

HI:

The only TV I watch is The Mentalist....and I adore it! (oh and SNL.....)

I want to check out Honey BooBoo and see what the big deal is with that...sounds like much ado about nothing.....

cheers--Sharon

Me too.

DH and I shamelessly watch Bachelor/Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad. Love them all!

Also:
Revenge (LOVE it!)
Breaking Bad
Dancing With the Stars (though I'm not a big fan)
Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Making the Team

That's cool! DH is dirty French. I guess that's a French gypsy? Like in the newsy Sherlock Holmes movie I think... I may be stereotyping... If I am, I apologize... I don't know much about them.

Say yes to the dress is awesome!!!! That's not a guilty pleasure! That's just full blown mind blowing pleasure!

I was watching this on Sunday...it was strangely addicting.

I've caught a few episodes of Teen Mom. I don't watch it regularly but I've seen enough episodes to know who's who. I'm way too old to be watching MTV but that show is hard to turn away from at times.

Laila, my husband and I watch Revenge, too. It's so ridiculous but really good at the same time.

Has anyone seen Girls with Lena Dunham? I love her and Allison Williams.

Between this thread and the other, I'm realizing just how much the TV is on in our house. I feel guilty about that probably more than I do about the shows I watch.

I love love love Girls. It's so smart and funny and real. Definitely good TV IMO.

Missy, it's good, huh?! At first I felt like I shouldn't be watching it because it's a bit risque for my taste, but I really like the characters. I also love to watch the after-show interviews with Lena Dunham. She's very talented. Did you know that Allison Williams (who plays Marnie) is Brian William's daughter?

Yes, I read an interview about that during the show's first season. Brian Williams is pretty funny in his own right. Did you see his answer when asked about how he feels about watching his daughter's sex scenes on the show? LOL.

I agree Lena Dunham is incredibly talented.

Isn't it though?! I don't even like cheerleading, yet I can't help but watch.

Zoe, yay, a fellow Revenge fan! Last season was much more entertaining I think, but I still love this show.

Well, I'm coming out of left field here, but the show that makes both of us howl with laughter is Finding Bigfoot. One of the regular guys on the team looks like a sasquatch. They discuss what the "squatches" love and hate, like they really know. They'll declare an area "squatchy looking." It's a riot.
