Haha, I''d take them!!

Several years ago i had a client who was a young and newly married divorce lawyer...his guilt gifts started out small(colored stones like garnet, citrine ect)and over just a few years grew into gifts like diamond stud earrings...of course he was divorced shortly after the diamond studs were given to his wife...seems he bought the mistress bigger and more expensive earrings from the same jeweler and she found out about it.

Not an uncommon story. I know someone who was going to purchase a watch for her husband and her jeweller told her to spend the money on something much nicer for herself because ......

Ditto, mscushion!! I just won't start the same trend with FH...No cheating allowed in this upcoming marriage!

I know someone with a significant guilt gift. I''d really rather not ever have one. But I guess each couple is different, then and now.

You know, I think it is pretty cool. I mean, to each their own. Would NOT be ok with me (I am a raging jealous beyotch) if she was REALLY ok with it, good for her. They worked out a way for them both to be happy and maintain their marriage. Non-traditional, but at least all parties were informed.

And the pieces are stunning. I wouldn''t turn them down on the basis of bad vibes!

I agree with this whole post!

And how do we know the wife wasn''t out doing her thang... ;) I mean, if she was, she was getting diamonds for being naughty too!
